So, unfortunately this one's just for Teleflora members (sorry, I can't get around the login to share the new blog with all of you :( ).

We stayed up late last night and launched a redesigned MyTeleflora. They let me have part of what I wanted to incorporate for greater 'community' on the site by adding a blog with open commenting available.

What do you think of both parts (the overall redesign and the new blog)?

clicking login gives me a security warning .... I didn't log in.

Where did the esat tool go?
And the shopping section seems to only have books ..... no TF containers?

Tracy-
I'll check with them on the security warning - I was getting that last night as we worked on the site but not anymore today. That might be something that didn't get properly switched over.

The eSat tool and shopping section with containers are both password protected, so if you didn't login you won't see them. :) I'll let you know when the security warning thing is fixed! Thank you!

I like the layout. I went straight to education center to look for class to post on the PFEIG page, but I can't find a calendar. That would be really helpful.

Sarah-
We do have a calendar of industry stuff: http://www.myteleflora.com/event-calendar.aspx (Design Education tab, then in column 2 the third line 'Floral Event Calendar')

Did you click 'Design/Education' then 'Class Schedules & Course Information' ? I believe the calendar isn't in that set of information quite yet, as Marie doesn't have the 2010 education schedule locked down, yet. I think it will be there once we know enough of the schedule to start publishing, however. :)

Thanks. But that calendar doesn't work. I clicked on January and it went no where. Could just be a glitch because it is all new. I just hope it has more information than the previous calendar. That one would tell an event on a day, but give no information, no link for more information, no contact phone number, no nothing!

Both were a surprise this morning when I logged on. Honestly, I thought the TF site had been pirated. Wasn't sure I was really on the TF site! Looking forward to the exchange on the blog. Thanks for going to bat for open comments. You rock!

No security issue now - looks good. I see some comments on the blog already, though I don't see any replies from TF yet.

I like the re-design. Like Clay, I thought it was busy, with a lot of repetetive info. More streamlined now.

True, some things aren't quite 'done'

It's true, there are a few things that aren't quite *done* yet. We've been workin' like crazy on 'em, though!:spintongu

From Laura (one of my colleagues):
" I should have the calendar working properly tomorrow. I am having some javascript issues, but will let you know as soon as it is posted.

In addition, it will have more “helpful” data – unit programs, trade shows, etc with locations/dates/times/contact information as well as URLs if the event provides that data.

Laura"

As for posting replies on blog posts - I haven't yet as they've been not so much questions, yet, though we're excited about the activity level that's already happening! The other reason for no responses? I haven't quite worked out my own username, yet, and am still using a 'test' user name that shows up funny! :dunce D'oh.

Nicole,
maybe it's just me, but I have tried logging in from 3 different computers.
The computer and your system do not "remember" me and force me to log in each and every time. This is a PITA.

When in the Shopping section, we could not find the "home" button to go back to the main page. We ended up exiting, and re-entering to look at stuff again. (Maybe we are just blind...or stupid...but it should be very clear, and in plain sight.)

Also, while I understand why you have password protected the receipes, and the images in the library, this is one of the MOST FREQUENTLY used part of My Teleflora. This should be very easily accessible, and very findable. It took my staff over 30 minutes to locate where the receipes were hidden, so that they could check something and talk to a customer -- had to call the lady back with the answer. This needs a MAIN Headding all by itself, so that it is very obvious, and findable.

Finally........(you knew that there was more).....At the busiest times of the year, we do not havethe time to waste time hunting for stuff. If you were going to roll out a new My Teleflora, you could not have picked a worse possible month. Does your staff even know what industry you work in -- or what month of the year it is??
This roll-out could have waited until January -- or should have been done in October/early November -- long before our busiest month of the year.

Nicole, I think it looks great, and is tons easier to use then the old one. Only thing I noticed was as said before, no link back to the home page once you start shopping. I also like the single textbox for recipe searches, allowing for wildcard searches.

As our Dove crashed hard last week, and ended up having to be re-installed, when I first saw it, I thought it was some dead page like a 404 page. Glad you posted this.... who knows how long it would've taken before I realized it was the new and improved mytf! Lol

I had no problems logging on. First opinion... MUCH IMPROVED, very tasteful, clean and easy to navigate. I hated the previous site. This is soooo much better!!

Isn't the norm to get back home to click in the heading? It brings you right back to the home page.

I agree. Why do you need to PW protect this? Currently my staff uses www.myfromyouflowers.com for recipes b/c myTF is PW protected. If nothing else, can we create another login to just access limited areas of myTF for design and sales staff? I really don't see the need to PW protect tho.... since this info is already available through other sites like myFYF. Unfortunately they do not list all TF products, only those they feature.

Great job Nicole. I have no problem with the timing. I welcome the improvement especially to the recipe section. It is wonderful - thank you!

Thanks for all your comments. We're reading them carefully and you'll be glad to know that in most cases we've also identified items such as the "remember me" login problem that we need to fix. Somehow that one got by us when we tested the site prior to launch.

We've also debated whether the recipes needed to be password protected or not so I welcome your feedback on this. We're pretty much "locked down" from making any more changes to the site this month unless it's an absolute emergency. However, that is a change we might consider implementing after the holidays.

If you haven't had a chance to check it out, try the new recipe search feature. It works just like Google and should make it a lot easier to find the recipes you need in the weeks to come.

Once again, thanks for your feedback and keep it coming.
