So we've got a question for you guys. We have two versions of this new pot and we're wondering what you think.

You've probably already seen the purple for Easter and so we're looking to do the same container in a different finish/color (terra cotta) for Grandparents' Day, which can then also roll out to Everyday.

I hope you'll give it a look and share your thoughts. Is this a container you'd be able to move for Grandparents Day and Everyday? Would you buy it?

Thanks!!

I would never buy either one. Very old fashioned looking. I do not like it at all!

Disclaimer: Not a member.

But, for my store, it's not something I would buy. Too "crafty" for us.

Personally, I like the purple. I'm not crazy about the terra cotta. It does look crafty but if you were going to use it for grandparents day, you might add some gardeners gloves, tools, or seeds to make it more gardeny.

By the way, we don't hardly ever have anything for grandparents day either. TF makes you buy to large quantities for such a small holiday.

Hope this helps.

It's a no for my shop. But you know what moves in yours. Grand parents day is not anything in my shop.... can't remember but two maybe three orders ever. I don't buy into special containers like that... they would just sit and be a waist here. Save your money.

As with all the gimmicky containers, too small to be worth the money, and something that we'll be dragging down and back up from the basement year after year...not an item we'll purchase.

Not know the cost or the size, but betting it's on the other side of $5 I would pass on either color.

Grandparents aren't looking for more knickknacks and it's a non holiday here anyway.

they look like an Ikea coffee cup (minus the spout). cost on those were 79 cents

Hey, all, thanks for the feedback so far! I do want to point out that the distinction that the piece would not be JUST for Grandparents' Day but would be marketed for Grandparents Day and then ALSO sold as an Everyday product after that. :)

Please keep up the feedback, it's very valuable!

Nicole:
Can only guess that the florist price, with shipping, would be upwards of at least $8.50/each. This is a "china knock-off" with no special value.

Could it be used for Everyday? Yea, I guess.....if it was still the 1980's.

Both colors are not good.

Grandparents day is a NON-HOLIDAY. We sent 1 (exactly one) arrangement for Grandparents day.......and it was a beautiful glass vase of flowers.

People are hip and trendy now. Tell your bosses to get the blinders off, and go visit shops and shopping centers., etc....and actually see what people are buying and what we are selling to them. It's not this crap.

Right on...right on!

It's about the flowers silly! (not the cute [not] container)

Break the mold now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THis way we wont have this discussion again.

How many of those can parents have for easter, mothers day or grandparents day. Same thing with the freaking ornament ball arr at Christmas.

I would not get it for my shop.

Yuck!!!! Althought my customers would like the container, I could get the same effect or better with a cheapo terra cotta pot.....nad not pay more than a buck and put more money into the flowers....

Please, Please pretty pretty please....Tell the bosses up in the offices that the containers need to retail 5-7 dollars and the flowers need to be more abundant, no one cares about the darn containers....800-flowers arrangements sell because they are good price points and the containers are sold in 6 and 8 packs and are 2-4 bucks to buy......take a peek at what they are selling vase vases and more vases.....not many novelty containers except for babies....and kid birthdays...not saying you should copy them but this keepsake container thing just doesn't work for so many shops....

Probably would have been great in 1940 when Grandma was a homebody wearing her apron all day and not the modern woman of today!
Grandparents Day never developed into anything and the same for Bosses Day in the Boston-Cambridge areas.

Hey Nicole,

I do appreciate TF asking for our input.

Keep in mind, I know a bunch of "today's" Grandmas that can hold the title of cougar.
And not in bad way either!

I hope TF does take notice of our opinions and adjusts accordingly.

Neither is attractive, cute, pretty, or even useful in my opinion. 1800 has a watering can (that's actually watering can sized), and even that doesn't do well.

Grandparent's day is non-existant, even here in Florida where all the grandparents are. I bought the Susan Winget (sic) grandparent;s day container, but only because it is attractive, and I've just about sold 'em all, and most of those sold as bare containers.

Ditto on what was said about TF ditching the 'keepsake' containers. 99.99% of flower recipients want flowers, not a goofy vase that will sit in a closet or tossed, or donated. I think I speak for a few when I say "Let us spend the money on the flowers".

Ewieee freakin ewiee....ask Resnick if she would have this junk in her house. No offense to you Nicole but do these buyers have their heads ..well what were they thinking.
This is circa 1980...and the colors are drab...BORING....
never never....and they want us to buy into this.....
