Nothing to do with flowers, But need advice.

Oh, and when you move in, when you're doing all the little things to the house to make it yours ... keep in mind that everything will cost you "a couple hundred bucks." :loopy New light fixtures for the bedrooms? A couple hundred bucks. Fresh paint? A couple hundred bucks. New fixtures for the kitchen sink? A couple hundred bucks...

Seriously, I think I went to Home Depot 2-3 times a week the first couple months after I bought my homes, and each time it cost me a couple hundred bucks!

I KNOW!!!

My Donnie is Very handy! He always says that "it's only gonna be about $20 and 5 maybe 10 minutes to fix that"

Whatever- It's always a couple hundred bucks and all dam* weekend!!

lol OMG - that made me almost spit out my coffee! Whatever my husband says for time, I triple it in my head. I guess it's a guy thing.

I'm so sad.

They wont even consider our offer because some jerk investors are buying the house.

I don't even think I want to do this anymore. it sucks. I've had a week from hell and this is the cherry on the pile of poo week I had.

I'm sorry that happened, that sucks! I'm sure you'll find something that will work out. If it's anything like around here theres a lot of inventory out there. It just takes some time to dig thru it.

It wasn't meant to be and now the right house will come along. Give yourself a break from looking until after Christmas and then you'll be ready to find your dream house.

I was/am so bummed...I even cried actual tears!THIS is the part that sucks- The people who are getting the house are "investors". They wont even be living there. It's not their dream- Just a way for them to make money on someones sad circumstance. I actually think about the people who were forced out of the house. I've looked at so many houses on line and the ones that really get to me are the ones with racecar bedrooms or blue walls with clouds or flowers painted on walls- obvious childrens rooms. I really loved the house. Was even already planning the landscape in the back yard. The people who are buying the house could give a crap about it except for how it will make them money... Which is fine, nothing wrong with making money-I love to make money too. Just sucks that our dream had to be killed in order for them to get even richer. Such is life.

Next house we put in an offer for I wont be so attached to.

Shannon I have lost houses in the past and it does suck good style. I am not being patronising (really i am not) but it just means that there is a house somewhere with yours and Donnie's name on it. I promise you. It is fate intervening, it could be that there was a serious problem that you may have faced down the line. When you do get a house and it becomes your home you will understand why this is happening!!

Did they put in an offer more than yours? I would question your realator. Why did this happen? Why did he show you a house that you were not able to go forward with? Something does not seem right here. Makes me mad when things like this happen. :(

Trust me- He was questioned.....grilled more like it. Bottom line is-(AS in life) Whoever has the most money wins. We did not have the most money- so we lost.

We looked at 5 more today- I didn't like any of them.

Shannon,

This is exactly what we went through with my daughter. She would fall in love and then get turned down. The one she finally did get, she also fell in love with, and we looked at a LOT of stinkers in between.

When you find another that you love, just try your hardest not to get your hopes up too high. You are not going to be able to avoid getting attached, after all, if you don't love it, why would you make an offer? Just try not to plan the gardens, it WILL come along like Paula says.

Carol from Fancies, they probably DID make a higher offer. My daughter and her realtor finally caught on and made an offer a couple thousand HIGHER than the ASKING price. The realtor does not make the decision on who's offer is accepted by the seller, they just show the houses that are available.

So now I think what I could do to stop that from happening again. I think I would put in an offer that had to be accepted, declined or a counter offer had to be made within a short period of time, say 24 hours. That way I wouldn't be left hanging. If they wanted more money & made a counter offer at least you were in negotiations with them. You want something like first rights for the buyer, or something like that. Sorry again for you Shannon.
