I'm in awe, and SO glad I got in fresh bunches of emerald yesterday. I'm off to weaving.

Phil, you've probably created a monster. Thank you so much for the inspiration. Yes I Can!

One absolutely stupid question.....what is air tape? Is it just florist tape spun on itself?

Linda

This is wonderful. Thanks so much, Phil and Ryan both!
I haven't woven much for ages and you tend to forget. I'm wondering also............what is air tape?? Looks to be very handy!

Thanks again.

Not Phil, but I can answer the 'air tape' question. :)

It's Floratape (corsage tape) stretched/rolled/taped tightly without a wire in it. It works well for tying lighter items together when no wire is needed for support. Choose a color that best matches the materials you're tying together and it will look organic.

Critique please - don't be gentle, hope you can see. The braid is a total mess, I know, I'm going to keep practicing!

My problem is actually with the flat weave, the ends seem to come popping out when I start bending it to make it more interesting. Also broke the spine from trying to bend it too much.

Tips? Tricks?

Thankyou so much!

Emerald is always crappy isn't it? LOL I don't think I ever got a nice clean bunch of emerald in my lifetime!

Great video, thanks Phil! I will have to give this a try! Hmmmmmm, I bet someone may even use this technique in Round 2 of battle Contest!

My wife viewed the video and says it was great. She saw the Thanksgiving turkey on Cathy and Phil's website and wondered how you did that. So, a big thanks to all that made the video possible.

This is exactly the type thing I recommended to one of the contestants in the contest. Very timely.

I finally got one to "weave" ... finally. but I find I'm very right handed...

I've become a weaving and braiding maniac. People are mesmerized by it.......already sold two arrangements with the braid since I learned how yesterday, now how much extra would you charge? I've already done a mark-up as I do on fresh green, but the labor is worth something, the skill more.

FLV is just a flash video file, so it should play in just about any video player, whatever is installed on your computer already.
