If you read into it Bigted, they are connected to Floral-Source to get their dirty work done.

I put in my zip to search, a florist 12 miles away came up, but she has been out of biz for 3 years. Her front page (still there), on her(their) website had all dropship items showing. It never ends does it?

Yes Boss, that is one of their sites. I have been in contact with this guy (Fred Bills) for some time now trying to figure out what he's up to. He sent me a copy of his business plan. Do you have a private email address I can send it to? It's an MS Word doc.

Hey folks, this is an old thread but I thought I would bring this up again. It may be worth your time to visit this site, punch in your zip code and see if he's using your shop name. In my opinion this is nothing but another dOG. http://www.whenamanlovesawoman.com/flowers.cfm
It seems they are using the same or similar strategy that Wesley Berry is doing. He's had my shop name listed in his directory for 3 or 4 years now. I did receive one order from him about 3-4 yrs ago but It took me about a year to actually collect payment from him. I've spoken with Fred Bills on the phone on several occasions. He's quite the talker and he always has a story to tell and will try and tell you how is business is about to explode and change the floral industry bla bla bla. To day I sent him a message asking him to removed my information from his site. I'm sure I'll get another call from him. I wonder how many orders he's taken in Colorado using my stores name that I've never seen???? If he's using Floral Source to fill their orders, and I'm not a member of florals source then I'm really being scammed here. I encourage you all to check this out. I am convinced he's up to no good. If you call him direct, be sure to have some time to talk.

I am the only florist listed for my town....How do I know if I have gotten orders from him. Who do the orders come from?? How do I get removed??
 
Lori, you can try sending an email to [email protected] but I doubt you'll get a response. I have Fred Bills phone # as he's called me several time. Try to call him direct 214-234-9043. That is the # he's been calling me from.

So, the consumer would assume they are ordering direct through me. Instead, they are ordering through them, getting charged a service fee, which the consumer would assume I'm charging them. The order may or may not actually get wired to me.

This is very deceptive and should be illegal. Any legal experience out there?

Do you every recall speaking with anyone from this company, or have you ever filled an order for them? He or someone from this company actually called my shop a few years ago and had us fill an order for them. It was for some chocolates and something else, I don't really recall at this point. It took almost a whole year to collect from him. If I recall he finally gave me a credit card # to charge. It was a total complete mess. Which is how I got involved. If he never got your permission to use your business name I would guess there's a good chance what he's doing may not be legal. I'm asking him to remove my information and then if he doesn't I'll contact my lawyer because my business name is trademarked. It may be worth looking into, but if consumers think they are ordering direct from you, and they are not, and your not even receiving the order, then this is a real scam. Oh Ya, I forgot to mention, look at all the gift items and goodies on your site that you supposedly handle and dropship to your customers.

Every time something like this happens I *wish* we had an executive who could contact these scammers and represent ALL of us so we didn't have to waste time one-at-a-time. *sigh*

On the plus site, I don't believe the name pages are spidered or I would have noticed this sooner.

I never heard of this company "whenamanlovesawoman.com". However, I have gotten orders from Wesley Berrie through Teleflora.

When you type a zip code in their site, a local flower shop's NAME appears with this deceptive company's web site.

I checked for zip codes in towns surrounding mine, and the results are the same: a real flower shop's name at the top of a web site that is not that Flower shop's.

This is not just getting your shop's name removed from their web site, they will replace it with another shop's name.
 
I'm sure your right. If they do remove your shops name they'll just replace it with someone elses. My main concern is that if one of my good customers stumbles across this site, places an order, and then they don't get the services and quality product that they are use to getting from me it would likely damage my reputation. Also, he has all of these codified TF products on the site and I'm not even a TF member.
 
This guy is a Shiester with a capital SHI....
He needs to stop this NOW. In my opinion, if its not illegal it should be.
I have to believe it is. A class action lawsuit would put him out of business
or at least stop the way he is trying to be in business. Thankfully, I don't see our shop listed but I used to work for a shop whose name he is using for a website.

Mine is there too. This is just unacceptable. Now I have to take valuable time and try to deal with this. I am so tired of it all. Thanks for the heads up, would have never know about it otherwize.
