Joan, Ariel will be fine. I'm sure of it. One of the children I raised had the same issue at about the same age. She is now 37, the mother of two and healthy.
She has a strong support system I think... and you have us to add to the mix.

Thank you everyone for all the encouragement, positive stories, prayers and positive energy.
We decided to get a second opinion from the doctor who my father in law is seeing.
The first place had decided to leave the one on her knew that had mild abnormal growth. The new doc says that there is no good reason to leave it, as it only benefits their research, not my daughter. He will be removing them both June 4th. The other doctor had scheduled for Aug. 23rd.
This sits better with me and has Arielle in a much better state of mind, knowing they will be gone. Also the doctor is a awesome plastic surgeon who will go about the surgery with a precedure to leave as little scaring as possible.
No word yet on the protein in the urine,will keep you updated.

the moles are generally selfcontained. If the Doctor is operating on 6/4/09, you will know about 7 or days later the results of the biopsies. Think positive -- the results are usually positive for someone her age.
I have had to have moles removed several times in the last 30 years. All have been successful -- little to no scaring. She will be fine.
the protein in her urine needs to be followed quickly and cautiously. she needs to be drinking as much water as possible. something in her kidneys is not working properly. could be just a simple infection. Do not be alarmed -- just get all the tests. Lots of water, cranberry juice and stay away from the sugary drinks & colas.
