Feel your frustration!!!!!!!!

I feel for you and your family member , the frustration of waiting for answers where it looks like they are working at minimal speed. I feel your frustration on the 1% of nurses that are just there to collect the paycheck.

We hope that your MOM will get the results she deservely needs to continue on her recovery.

"Lord, I ask you to take care of Lynn. I ask you to wrap your comforting arms around her and her family and let them know that everything willbe alright. I ask you to guide the doctors to the source of the problem so they can take care of this soon. Give Ryan, janice and families involved, peace, comfort and hope of a quick recovery. Thank you Lord for taking care of them so far, In JEsus name, Amen"

You are in all of our thoughts and prayers Ryan. It is wonderful that your Mom has her family so close at hand. Nothing but positive thoughts from the crew at Martha's.

You have many prayers from Montana as well! We will also be holding you and the rest of your family up for strength and calmness during this period of unknowing.

Hopefully your Mother was removed from the incompetant nurses schedule?!?! Nothing brings out the "beast" in us more than the well-being of our children and parents eh!

Thanks, everyone, for your prayers.

Mom was doing much better yesterday - was actually able to drink some clear fluids - but last night she had a setback. The doctors are proceeding with caution and we should have a decision on surgery by Thursday. Since this appears to be a complication related to scar tissue from previous surgery they are hesitant to go in again and risk further problems.

The nursing the last few days has been great. These people are run off their feet dealing with cranky patients and emotional family members, and they do it all with a smile. The few bad apples sure do stand out from the majority.

Please continue to pray that the internal swelling will go down and stay down.

Mom update:

Mom's home from hospital and resting. She's on a very restricted diet, and will be off work through next week, but the doctors think surgery won't be necessary as long as she is careful about her diet.

And they will continue Ryan. I'm glad she's home... often that's the strong suit of healing... being home amongst loved ones.

Final update:

Mom is winging her way to Barbados, for a long-planned vacation / sisters' gathering to celebrate her sister's 50th b-day. Mom's improvement over the past couple days has been so dramatic that the doctors allowed her to travel, with their blessings. Three days ago, we were preparing to cancel the trip.

The power of prayer is a marvellous thing that can never be discounted. Thanks to all of you. BIG thanks!
