I agree, that's definitely under-priced. What is the code number for this piece?

I am with you Mark...I come up as close as your price.

You know that TF has not change their directories for over 5 years now. So those prices are from that era.

I think a lot poorly run florists make the mistake of jumping at the big dollar amount and never question the price. In reality they maybe losing more on these than the $29.99 order they are so quick to reject.

We sent 1800 our drop letter for the end of April, they won't let us out til the end of July. SO, we now price ALL their arrangements and ask for OUR PRICE PLUS OUR DELIVERY. It amazes me how many times we get the money. A couple of times I sent a message saying I needed $50 + to fill. I GOT it!!

Also got a few responses that said I am under contract to fill at THEIR price and to THEIR recipes. So, I rejected!!

No longer will I play the game, if I work for you, I want to see a W2 in Jan.

I got a call today from 1800 for a bridal boquet of 6 rose delivered for $40.00 to the area that is a $11.95 to deliver charge. I told them that I could not do the bridal bouquet because it was it was not up to the standard for the image I want to project on bridal bouquets for my shop. So l blessed the 1800 go getters. Unbelievable, but not really.

This is how I'd fill the order.

I'd substitute 50 white carnations for the 24 football mums, substitute white wax flower for the monte casino, and substitute either boxwood or Italian ruscus for the springeri.

Priced at $125 to $150 plus delivery.

The reason for the substitutions is we don't carry football mums or asters and happen to be out of springeri and would prefer using other greens anyway.

Mark -

Does the new selection guide contain a pricing CD or a sheet with the wholesale prices used as the basis for the workbook?

Surely there's some guidance as to how the retail prices were calculated.

Also - our 48" wire easels would literally buckle with one of those soaked wreath forms. Maybe yours are studier than ours... Why would anyone ever put such a large design on such a low easel? Don't they know height = better perceived value?
