There are only a couple of OGs that we absolutely refuse to take orders from. F U flowers is one. If you are filling for them, why not just shoot yourself in the head--it's quicker.

FU Flowers is a separate company, based in Connecticut, that processes PFs florist-delivered orders. Besides fromyouflowers.com, they also operate other websites including usaflorist.com.
I understand they have large affinity and affiliate marketing marketing programs. (like this page)
Heather, our experience with FU Flowers was that they substantially under-priced items and included little or no delivery charge. When we were TF members, we repeatedly told them not to send to us. Some holidays, we'd end up rejecting the same orders multiple times (6 Casablanca stems in a vase delivered for something like $35. Ridiculous!)
Add the fact they cloak PFs orders (you know, the guys who tell consumers we deliver over-priced, half-dead flowers) and saying 'NO' was easy.

Cathy's response is exactly why I don't fill for them. PF - Fresh From The Fields and their "guarantee" when filled by a real local florist. Who gets the credit?? PF because the sender received a fulfilled order by a florist who filled that order. Not a box shipped from a fulfillment center two days prior.

We receive very few OG orders since we called TF and asked them not to send them to us. The most recent was a TF HQ order and that was at Christmas time.
I hate spending time refusing junk or asking for more money. It really does pay to concentrate on our own customers.

And way more effective than ragging about it on a message board.
I didn't get a single ftd.com or FST order this holiday - because I took the time to do what Sue did.
Ya know, "they" really don't want to waste their time sending orders over and over to florists that don't want them either....

we must quit filling their orders!!! I think we could put them out if we do, also i must have gotten 300 calls from just flowers, flowers today etc. saying the machines were down and wanted us to fill over the phone, I will not take their orders over the phone....beware you will not be paid...if we stop takent the orders they will be up a creek!!!

Obviously, so can the d'OG', OG's, 800's, and DOT.CON's, and the WS's with some FILLER FOOLS who enable them as well.
They all work to together HOLDING UP THESE PIGS, albeit on a WING and a PRAYER.
Must be one of those FLORIST'S MYSTERIES OF LIFE, in which, the incremental income justifies the excremental evacuation.
Still cannot understand why anyone would choose to be a subcontracted vendor for THEIR COMPETITORS at CHUMP CHANGE?

I'm gonna repeat my request that the political stuff stay out of the industry threads. We have a Political forum for that and it's "opt-in" since the threads tend to get quite heated.

Shops can request OGs stop sending to them, but that's not a full prevention. The really lousy orders bounce around and can forwarded from other shops - for days. I've seen it first hand.

I've edited out my comments over the stimulus debacle, and I will post those thoughts over on the Political forum.
You'll have to forgive me since, in many cases, I see a common denominator between our battle with the MIDDLEMAN FLORAL ORDER BROKERS, who try and come in between REAL FLORISTS and THEIR CUSTOMERS, and those in the Washington Beltway who try and come in between WEE TAXPAYERS and OUR HARD EARNED EARNINGS.
Similar, but different, and yet, off the topic in this string.

a salesman for vases came into my shop this past thursday on his way home to buy his valentine roses for his wife and kids. while he waited, my husband was making small talk with him and found out he sells vases to proflowers...that's right, he sells vases to proflowers, but stopped in my store for his flowers. the customer said sales to proflowers was down 50%. wish we had more time to pick his brain to see what else i could learn, but vd being what it is, just couldn't.

Haven't been on Dove in a long time but when I left the deal was, if you block them they won't autoforward to you but your shop could still be directly chosen and it would override that.
But - what explains my lack of FST orders?
I told them, that's what. Haven't had one is about 3 years now.
I told 800flowers once about 12-13 years ago and they have never ever called us since.
Justflowers I still like to see their orders, before I forward them - I get a kick out of it.
But, does anyone really think they want to see orders go to shops that they know won't fill them and are just going to reject them, purposely wasting their time?

We were nice, mean, hateful, sarcastic, put them on hold forever, we acted stuipd, screamed, talked to several different "supervisors", no matter what we did they kept calling.
I was ready to stomp by big ass all the way to LA and start cracking skulls! OMG I was so mad!
I'm calling TF today and tell them to not send me any OG orders. I have blocked them in the maintence part of the Dove, but I didn't know I could call and tell them not to send me any OG orders.
