sure....and add this one to that.

You are familiar with the pocket square style of boutonierre, well, You know you build that on a small square of foamboard or cardboard......well, on the inside....opposite the side that you put all the decorations and bling on......you ask them to provide a small photo of the girl......you glue that to the cardboard side that does not have the flowers on it......the selling point - " He wears her close to his heart"

If you don't have a small photo, then put your business card on that side.

Like Cherrie, I really do LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE prom season. Truth be told, I don;t know which aspect I love more......making the creations or selling them.

Palms,
You are too sweet. These corsages were no big deal. Easy with the right tube of glue. I didn't want to get too wild. Intentionally kept it tame, I didn't want to go outside the kids comfort zones. Got an idea of the colors of dresses the teacher got ahead of time. It was kind of fun just to rummage through the cooler and pick what I wanted to make a corsage or bout from. The only flowers I bought extra were a couple of stems of mini cyms - love them for corsage work!- everything else was already in the shop. There were several items that didn't end up on the slidehow. I also love Oasis wire. Made another arm band corsage and easy wrist bands from them.

For those who may be wondering - almost every school has a prom fashion show, it is put on the by the dress companies and the tuxedo stores. The students come in ahead of time and select the dresses, just like cherrie mentioned above. You can go to the dress store to see the dresses to help you make up some really neat and unique corsages and bouts.

These shows have been going on for years and in many cases the florist does not know they are happening.

The girls love it, they get to wear a fancy dress, they get to be in a "fashion show" and they get to wear beautiful flowers.

Most of the time, the school will let you set up a working display table during the fashion show to take your corsage order.

Last year, we were told by a DEB store manager, that every DEB store MUST do 2 school fashion shows each prom season.

There are a couple of ways to connect with these -
1. Connect with the prom committee at the school
2. Connect with the dress company
3. Connect with the tux company
4. Hear about it in the community, students, moms, teachers, cheerleaders, etc.

When we do a show - we have Rule #1 = Have Fun

If you get the chance to do some of these - be sure to follow Rule #1 and it will be successful - remember the students are fun with this, so you should also.
