I have the same centerpieces for June 6th. I've been trying to get the coordinator to bring a vase by so I can make sure it's all good. I was planning on the gel and red lights in the frosted vases (tried it in a shorter frosted vase & it was ok-not great, just ok). We're going for hot pink.

Thanks for all the ideas!

I know you have blown your budget....but for future reference....the first photo is from the website of the supplier of those....
www.fancyfaces.com. We have rented those exact ones for years now..they come in different heights, number of feathers, etc. We always build the rental cost plus markup into the proposal. Never wanted to buy and store them

I read about gel in another thread. I picked up a container of Soilmoist at my local greenhouse, the container was $34.95. This is not the fake snow, but looks like it is made by the same company. Kind of pricey, but you only need 2 teaspoons per vase, and it is reuseable. Soilmoist is used as a moisture enhancer for soil. Add water and it makes a gel like substance and takes a day to hydrate.

Do you mind if I ask how many ounces the container was for $34.95? I am just trying to compare the cost of the Soilmoist to the Crystal Accents Water Holding Gel Crystals. They are made by the same company... I am trying to understand which is a better value...
Thanks.
