I didn't see this until just now, I'm sooo sorry Twila. I know how upsetting this has been for you. He at least had his last good time at the lake, what a wonderful memory to have and he was well loved.

Hugs,
Trish

Twila-
My meart was heavy as I read Remington's story. It was great to hear what a wonderful time he enjoyed in the end. My wife Mary and I are at a similar point now, with Molly, our dear 16 year old Terrier mix. At sixteen, she needs help up and down stairs and I am sure she wonders for moments, why she is in the backyard for "potty" breaks. I just hope we get a sign that it is time to bid her fairwell. We are trying to prepare each other for the inevitable, but we know it will be DIFFICULT. They do become part of the family, and we want only the best for them.
Our Warmest Wishes and Prayers to you and your family.
Dave

My heart goes out to you Twila and my memories go to my beloved Prissy - my baby of 19 years that we lost last year.

You were and are a good mama for letting Remington enjoy his final moments with a great time at the lake. He is alive, healthy, and whole waiting for you on the other side and one day you both will cross that rainbow bridge.......together.

I'm so glad that you had the opprotunity to have that last vacation with him, the excitement of being somewhere he loved and being able to swim and feel free and young again would not have been possible with out you.

He is now playing and swimming with all of his other friends.

I'll pray for you and your family, I am a dog lover myself and can understand your need to give him that one last happy time.

Twila,
I am so sorry to hear of your Remington. I too am glad you got to take him to the lake one last time. He was looking like a pup while swimming. You could just see in his eyes how much he was loving that. A true mama wanting your child to enjoy every last minute...be proud..
