Rose petals for an aisle...

My supplier sells rose petals in gallon containers. Not sure how many gallons to order for a 7-pew aisle... with medium coverage on each side. Suggestions?

Eric posted a while back how many roses per foot... I wonder how many roses are in a gallon?

7 rows is not too long, I would think 1-2 would be more than enough.

Petals in a gallon container ???? That is a new one on me. I would be leery simply because I've seen too many instances where we were saving rose petals for a wedding and when it got time to use them, the petals had molded from being in a basket or container too long.

At the Pottery, we sell bags of silk petals.........comparing them to fresh, each bag is about three roses worth of petals......I tried scattering some to see how they fell and the amounts needed.....1 bag scattered covered an area approcimately 1 foot by 3 foot.

My wholesaler sells petals in a white garbage bag. He told me that the bag equals about 75 rose heads. I measured last time, and it equaled 72 cups of petals. For me, that would do one side of a 10-row aisle with medium coverage nicely. I measured using my 8-cup pyrex measure (9 of those full). Seems like a gallon container (I'm thinking paint can) is pretty close to the same size. So to do the same, for both sides, would be 18 gallon-containers full for 10 rows. So round up to 2 gallon containers per row for both sides, times 7 rows, maybe, 14 gallon-containers full?
