See my dog...

Isn't he cute - I love him! (Even though he thinks everyone is out to get him and he growls at and hates everyone he doesn't know.) He has been nicknamed psycho killer dog by the people down the street.

Mine is a German Sheppard-police breed from Fredericton NB, will send photo soon!

He is adorable! I grew up with a Sheltie, and I know what great dogs they are. Ours used to try to herd my dad's tractor, the cars, and even a surprised herd of deer.

Now I have this spotted guy, who is not at all convinced he is a dog. Thinks he is just a short person.

Boy sure wish I could share Elmo and George...fur balls who allow me to live in their space. ;):catclock: By the way, I LOVE dogs too. I'm pretty much a critter lover...

I love dalmations. My friends has one named Molly. She is also under the illusion she is human. So gentle and loving with others, (unlike my dog).

When we first got Woodstock he used to follow us to the bathroom which was way out back in our other location, quite a distance away. I found out later he was herding us. No other dog I had ever did that. It's really funny to watch.

I never had a cat 'cuz my dad hated them. I don't hate them, just never had one of my own. When I lived in San Francisco when I was 19 I lived with my sister and her family. They had two kittens. They kept us laughing - so funny and so much energy. Comical to boot!

Cats are great, my fella will be with us 19 years in mid November, and still going strong. We also have a 7 year old Black Lab mix somewhere around 60 to 70 lbs. The dog is scared too death of cats that snarl or hiss , but runs to protect ours from any cat that gets near our old guy.

I have also learned the joys of the herding dog. We have an Australian Shepherd Pepper she will follow your feet step by step down the stairs "herding" them. Forget ten little piggies more like ten little sheep.

Pepper also has a touch of the pyscho in her, people on roller blades, skate boards or people pushing baby strollers seem to set her off. I have to scan the horizon ahead of her to call her off before she gets too close and starts barking. If I see it first and tell her "leave it" she is fine.

Same way in our house! My 11 year old female calico kitty, Winnie, was a stray we picked up out in back of our shop years ago. When Drew the dalmatian came to live with us, Winnie's first introduction was to walk up to the puppy and swat him on the nose. From then on it was clear who is Alpha dog in a kitty suit. The dog became very friendly with our male cat-- they slept together and chased one another for fun etc. But he passed away a couple years ago and you wouldn't believe how the dog sulked! Now poor Drew is left walking on eggshells around little miss tempermental. It amazes me that this big oaf that could swallow that furball in one gulp is terrified of her. Example: if she sits by the water bowl, he will sit and whine but won't go near it until she moves. Sometimes I think she sits there on purpose to annoy him!

Actually the cat basically became a surogate father to the dog , the dog does everything paws first like a cat , really funny to watch him play with other dogs and watch them get mad as him swats em in the face with his big webbed paws . When we ask him a question he gives a yes response by a sneeze, I kid you not.

My turn :)

First, the store cats - Calida on the left, Lorcan on the right.

Yup, she's real :) she is a 4 year old shamrock macaw and her name is Chamois. She has a little over 3 foot wing span. She's really a sweety, we call her monster bird because she makes a lot of noise when she gets cranked up. She has a pretty good vocabulary and likes to get down on the floor and chase our Austrailian Shepard around the living room.

:) Hey Jim...does Chamois know how to say "here kitty kitty?" ;)

That is one fiiiiinnne bird. My Elmo would stand and be counted...George would pee and run (he is a candy as*ed woosie boy).

Both my boys are strays...every animal who has lived with me or my family have found us/me. I do believe I have "sucker" stamped on my forehead.

Both are terrified of any and all dogs as they were attacked by a mob from the reserve near where I used to live. The boys lived to fear...Lady Emily did not. She was yet another stray with a huge brave heart.

She does'nt say here kitty but she does say "Barbee come here!"
She starts out with a real soft "Barbee" then "BARBEE" then "BARBEE COME HERE" it's pretty funny

:) And does Barbee obey the call?
