Sending Flowers

It may be to value... but where the hell is the design? It looks like someone took a premade grocery store bouquet and plunked it in the vase with their eyes closed. I would never send something that looks like this out of my shop.

Definately to value, but the design is not great....and flower selection and colors are poor...The angle the arrangement was taken at sux too...I am sure there are a couple of flowers on the other side that we are not seeing like the open lily bud and another snap...

I hate white and orange together, I think it makes arrangements look bad every single time, just like the new tf lenox fall container and the white pumpkins, just bad...

Looks Like the proverbial " my 8 year-old could have arranged it".
Not to our value and not to our design standards.

Those of you that say this is not to value....How much do you put into a 50.00 arrangement in retail value of flowers...

I count close to 28.00 worth of flowers and greens in that vase not including the colored vase, add in 20% labor and you have a 50.00 arrangement...Do I like the arrangement, no they could have put a second lily instead of the gorky red rose and more statice instead of monti to give a fuller look and probably used 4 pieces less leather leaf and added another stem of poms for a fuller better look, but the value is there, just not what any of us would use....The design is also too short for the vase used, it would have looked a whole lot better in a cube or short ginger jar....also making it 3 sided was a mistake....I believe that this arrangement was probably made by a novice and that is where the problem lies...

I don't think it is to value either. The design is poor, but the money count is not there. JMO

short valued, but not by much (not that it's excuseable)

IMO, it's the terrible mechanics & design that really cause it to look so poorly done, which makes one really examine the flowers.

I've become a complete Nazi about greens in the water.

1 snap $2.50
3 carn $3.75
2 alstro (maybe) $3.50
1 monte $1.50
1 rose $3.00
1 lily $4.00
2 daisy (maybe) $3.00
greens $3.00
gathering vase $7.50
-------------------------------
$31.75

our $50 gets $37.50 in materials.

By my count it comes to $30 arrangement (assumed 2 flowers on side that doesn't show.) But even a $30 arrangement should look better than that! Poor design at any price.

I would guess it does depent on where you are at....and how much you pay for flowers....

I am in line with Tracey on pricing, I counted a second snap not that I see one but I am assuming there is something on the side we cannot see, there has to be...Tracey didn't count the stem of statice...which brings it 1 dollar closer to value...I too put about 38.00 retail stuff in a 50.00 arrangement...

I sent two orders one for my sister this one and one for mom. My mom said that the flowers where left outside all day. No thank you or they are pretty. Just a email saying "Got the flowers and they where left outside all day"

My sister sent this picture. She was very excited so at least i got the response I was looking for. Thats important.

So I talked to linh and sent the photo. She was not happy. In her words

"From now on lets send them something else besides flowers"

See how quickly we can lose a customer? Our industry is in so much trouble and we really need to figure out how to save it.

Whos reponsible?

Can I blame Teleflora for allowing this shop to be a member? So many things come to mind when we look at this picture and I think about what is happening right now in this industry.

Perhaps what Teleflora needs to do is come up with a grading system so that we as members can communicate with each other about potential shops that just shouldn't be filling.
