I'm sorry, for all of your losses. This is a very very sad thread, and I can only add my hugs to those already around you.

We have had two babies stillborn in the past week, second died today. Both of the families have chosen to have a picture of the baby put in the obituary. Both have asked to have the picture incorporated into the family flowers. I have an 8 X 10 picture of another child sitting in front of me and as with the other one this week, the child looks deceased. Is anyone else finding this to be a "trend"? Pictures of the stillborn child?

Hi, I'm new to Flowerchat. I've been surfing for a while, just checking out everyone's posts. Rhonda, my hat's off to you. I'm in NY, and I haven't known of this trend up here. I love designing flowers, but I personally cannot do children's funerals. I don't even promote the fact that I do funerals- I'm afraid I might get one.

I lost one of my twin girls 19 years ago - I gave birth at 6 1/2 months and she died the next day. The hospital gave me pictures of her before and after she passed. It's very traumatic to lose a child. I cannot imagine even today openly displaying a picture of her. Every March 3, I design a small floral arrangement (cross, teddy bear, whatever), and keep it in a corner of my studio and light a candle. No one knows why it's there except me.

Lia... no one else needs to know. I admire your eloquence and I am sorry for your loss.

I'm glad you're part of the Flowerchat family.

I thought about you all and this thread today. I did the flowers for triplet boys. I spoke with the Grandmother. I had taken an arrangment to the Mom for her last month when they found out that all three were boys. It just isn't possible for most people to understand how very, very sad you are for these Mom's, Dads and Grandparents. I think our prayers for these families are just part of what we do. When you say yours this evening, please think of a Mother here in Mississippi. I'm sure she needs them all.
