I am not a member of Teleflora, I do fill there orders when they call, with a CC.
Today they called and said as usual, "We have a teleflora order for you"
Employee responded, "we are not teleflora, but will fill with a CC"

They Gave the order #, it was for the T-cup with roses, alstromaria etc., for $36.95 total, going to a rural town 15 miles away. My employee told them we had a $12.00 delivery to that town, and could not fill it for that price, plus we do not have a T-cup, so we could not help them.

They called back 15 min later and asked for the same thing, we responded the same, The operator then asked "What is your name?" She gave them her name, and they said to her, "We are writing down your name with your rejection, I just want you to know that." Carol, my employee said "Well, ok, fine" The operator said, "Are you sure you don't want to fill this before I do that?" Carol responded, "We can't fill this order for you, i'm sorry" The operator repeated again, "well then, your name is going on the rejection"

She hung up the phone and asked "What is going on, should I have taken it"
I told her that she did the right thing. We didn't have the T-cup, we couldn't fill the order without a delivery chg. and I am not teleflora, and am not obligated to filling it for them.

I figure that they are desperate, remember I am the only florist that delivers to these small rural towns in the middle of no where, and this operator was trying to intimidate her into taking the order.

Maybe my shop will be blackballed in their book now, I don't know. What do you think that was all about? Is teleflora using strong armed tactics now?
I have always filled for them if I could, but I won't take an order for something I don't have, for a price that is totally unreasonable.

Ah YES, the THREAT!

They called back 15 min later and asked for the same thing, we responded the same, The operator then asked "What is your name?" She gave them her name, and they said to her, "We are writing down your name with your rejection, I just want you to know that."

WOW! Don't we all love those IMPLIED THREATS?

What's that mean, " WHAT'S YOUR NAME? " Do they think they're with the CIA or FBI?

Next time anyone asks YOUR EMPLOYEE something that's obviously an ATTEMPT AT A LOW LEVEL FORM OF INTIMIDATION, tell your folks to simply HANG UP! You, nor anyone at your shop, who is ON YOUR PAYROLL has no obligation to answer to anyone, other than DA BOSS!

And last time I checked, neither Teleflora, nor any of these MIDDLEMEN SKIMMERS send them an annual W2 nor 1099, and so, they can kiss the ground you and yours walk on, or SHOW YOU DA MONEY!

Other than that, BE GONE, YOU HAVE NO POWER HERE!

HOW DARE THEY? Do they think that, they are SOMEBODY'S MOTHER? Per Chance, was there a smell of CURRY permeating through your telephone? We all know that, they FARM OUT their call center operations to somewhere offshore with my best guess as New Delhi. I love CURRY, but only when I order it.

Should have told them your last name was Meoff.

First name Jack.

Or Hunt...

Had to read that twice, and then I fell on the floor, I was laughing so hard, will have to tell my employee that tomorrow, it will make her day!

ToTo, thank you, I thought maybe I was nuts, thinking that they were actually threatening her. They must be desperate.

NOPE! They're NUTS!

Stick to your guns kiddo! It's your business, not theirs! If you choose to allow them TO USE YOUR HIGHWAY, then they will have to pay YOUR TOLL! Otherwise, tell them to kiss your lovely floral derriere!

Lastly, you are 100% correct! They are getting desperate since, their BUSINESS MODEL IS DEAD! Only problem winds up to be that, they either don't know that, or refuse to accept it.

Once they all decided to S**W their best customers (their own member florists) by going DIRECT TO OUR CUSTOMERS in order to undermine our own 100% sales, they crossed the line. And so, they begot their own short lived destiny and as they say, YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW!

Make em pay my Dear since, when the shoe is on the other foot, they would DOO the SAME DOO to YOU!

Many, many moons ago I used to work for NCR.

Large staff...high turnover...receptionist didn't know everyone working there.

As a joke on April Fools, 4 or 5 of us Sales Reps got together & placed a call into our own office.

The sound of the receptionist paging "Mike Hunt" three times still cracks me up...23 years later!!!

Thanks for the memories, Jon...

"well then, your name is going on the rejection"

Your employee could have said, "Good! Now what is your name so that I can put it in my report."

Of course, the Jack and Mike answers are much better.

I am a teleflora shop and it just makes me mad when they do stuff like this (well, sometimes, it just makes me laugh, depends on my mood)

Had one yesterday, wanted an arrangement going to 15 miles north of us. Asked if we could do it. Yes, I said, but I will need $10 more for the delivery. Operator told me I could just do it to value, taking the delivery out. I told her the arrangement was filled with mostly roses and that was not possible. She said, well just do it the best you can. I said, no I can't do that arrangement at all with roses in it for that price. She said well I guess I will have to call my customer to see if she wants to pay your delivery fee. .... Well, I guess you will now won't you??....

I have a very long list of web orders we will NOT be accepting for vday due to the unreasonable prices. Can't wait for those calls....

I'm curious... do the WS people lurk here? If so what do they take from all this negative response regarding their particular company? I honestly wonder daily why they still manage to hornswaggle people into membership.

:rofl::rofl::rofl:

You feeling lucky?

yep...they REALLY got you backed into a corner now........:yourock:

Some do.... has not seemed to make a difference though..cuz remember...they do not care about anything but their pay checks!

guess what.....MEE TOO!!
MEE comes BEFORE "they"!!

I was reported four times today...three times for the same order called in by three different operators. I told them I did not accept "Do Not Report Orders" via the telephone, but if they would send it over the Dove we would review the order and either fill or forward. All four times they asked for my name. Not thinking, I actually gave it to them...later wondering if I was going to be reported to the problem child list.

I am a proud TF member and do my best to be a team player, even filling some .com orders. However, when they continue to sell underpriced items and keep the "service fee" they can just keep calling those orders out until they find a FWOC. No profit = No fill.

Maybe for the next two days we should all tell them our name is "FlowerChat".

Next time tell them your name is Gregg Coccari.

Or Monica Lewinski.

Reported to WHO?

Are they a JOKE, or what? Who are they going to report you to anyway, and then, what are they going to DOO TO YOU?

Gregg Coccari would be a good choice, but Lynda or Stewart Resnick is even better. Tell them your Lynda but, if they need Stewart, he's out in the fields picking through the Nuts and Pomegranates , MUCH LIKE THE PEOPLE working out of their call center!

There was a time, back in the GOLDEN OLDIE DAYS, where most of US WEE BEES were PROUD MEMBERS of one, or more of them.

Today, they view us as nothing more than an ORDER drop off point at which, they can get their undervalued SKIMMED orders fulfilled. They think of us as, nothing more than THEIR FREE LABOR and DELIVERY $ERVICE WORK FORCE to be used and/or abused with anything and at anytime, THEIR CUSTOMERS want or need something. (EMPHASIS on THEIR CUSTOMERS, not yours!)

Being a team player is a nice thought, but SADLY, a real team works together for the mutual win in the game. None of them care anymore about the team nor any one member of the team. All they want to do is to WIN AT THEIR GAME and at the expense of the TEAM!

Better to be a PROUD MEMBER and THE CAPTAIN of your own Team!

At least that way, YOU GET ALL THE CREDIT ($$$$) for HOW YOU PLAY YOUR GAME!

They took your name? What are they going to do, pass it on to Homeland Security? Again... why belong?
