Strange teleflora response

I am a teleflora shop and it just makes me mad when they do stuff like this (well, sometimes, it just makes me laugh, depends on my mood)

Had one yesterday, wanted an arrangement going to 15 miles north of us. Asked if we could do it. Yes, I said, but I will need $10 more for the delivery. Operator told me I could just do it to value, taking the delivery out. I told her the arrangement was filled with mostly roses and that was not possible. She said, well just do it the best you can. I said, no I can't do that arrangement at all with roses in it for that price. She said well I guess I will have to call my customer to see if she wants to pay your delivery fee. .... Well, I guess you will now won't you??.......

The thing that bothers me here, though, is that who gets the black eye and looks bad? WE, The Florist do.
I had almost this exact same thing happen earlier this week. They wanted me to deliver a $32.95 order (total) 22 miles away.
I wasn't sure where it was so I called to ask the customer. Well, turns out, long story short, that they called to ask the customer for more money, saying "WE" needed more money for delivery. She got mad and cancelled the order. Well of course she did. She paid an extra $12.99 "Service Fee" for that order and she has NO IDEA that all they offered us was $32.95 total for the arrangement AND Delivery.
I was pissed! and I told them so.
 
Maybe for the next two days we should all tell them our name is "FlowerChat".

Only three today. All three times I told them my name was "FlowerChat". The third time I was told "I don't believe you". I said, "Then put whatever name you want."

Left the machine on. Rejected 20 underpriced .com orders ~ most out of our delivery area regardless of price.
 
I had TF hdqters(from accent outsourced to India) ask if I could do TFWEB??
which was a 4' rosebush. Told her no. She asked how about similar? NO, I have no blooming plants. She"Ok i will dove it over. I "NO, I DO NOT HAVE ANY PRODUCT EVEN SIMILAR. I CAN NOT DO IT." When I am ready to leave the the shop I hear the printer printing a order and glance before leaving to see if it is something to take care of before leaving. Guess what? it is the 4" rose bush order for delivery today. So, I walk out and leave it lay until Monday. I feel no guilt after telling her several hours earlier I couldn't fill it.
 
My Dear Florist Members, As a member of Teleflora , Back in November 2007 when the holiday's started we also started to have the same trouble at Eddie's Floral Gallery,Inc. & We agree with all that ToTo has had to say and then some. We took steps to protect ourself from the trouble that Teleflora calling ours store may cause with many rude and most of the time unwanted orders as they are orders from TFHQ below our posted Min.
We ask to be put on a do not call list and all order's must be sent to us over the Dove and any questions they have about an order must be put on the Dove as we will be happy to respond back with any needed questions or we will refuse the order if we have to with a cause. We as much as letting people know we now do not give out our name unless we take the orders and that is done at the end of the order . If it is TFHQ calling we don't even take an order from them as they have to send it over the Dove that we paid for and put our money to work for us . They don't pay our telephone bills and they are by calling stoping us from being able to take orders from people on the telephone that we pay for " NOT THEM" . All Orders at this time from TFHQ come from over the Dove Only if they wish for us to fill them and any questions they have they can send over the Dove and we will answer them back also that we paid them for , This is called putting your money to work for you and STOPPING THE IMPLIED THREATS or RUDENESS of a Caller that has not been train to handle wire orders, But they hire them all the same. It may be a problem for them to Stop such as this but it is Easy for us to take Order's From them and Control what the Price of what we sell each item in our store for is. As for the many Order Gathers that they at this time have as members , We also tell them to send the order over Dove Or Mercury as we will not take a order from them without a paper trail to back us up and most of the time they will not send the order to us . TFHQ is known to send orders for them as we have come to learn , In this case each of us has to control to the best of our ability what is good business for us to stay in business and make money and let them know who is in control of Our store as we are not going to be able to stop all of them at one time . The time is soon to come and they see this that they are becoming of less of a need to the Florist with the Internet ability but until the time comes as we have done in our store We stay in control of Our Prices, Our Hours, Our Rules, and What we will or will not take from a Wire Service no matter the cost as we are here to service the community and also be profitable with each of us demanding the RESPECT that will be given to all that do business with us as should you. " WE HAVE A LAW " & " WE ARE OWNERS" With Self Respect , Demand it and Put your Money to work for you and they will stop this act if enough of us do as we have done and hang up after telling them we are on a do not call list " Thank You. "

For the most part, all the WSs are against us now, and since their old business model is DEAD, they can either learn to reinvent their broken wheels or continue to doom themselves to failure.

You have already figured out for yourselves that, the WSs need YOU more than, YOU NEED THEM!

A day ago, I had a similar TF call. I told him we needed more money. Not much more, but they (TF) only put $7 in for delivery. Not many folks can deliver for $7 gross/$5 NET delivery.

He asked for my name. I said I won't give it to him, but wanted HIS name. He said, "Stan."

At that point, my wife, a native Hindi speaker, got on the line and started speaking to him in his native language. He was so flustered he hung up!
lolA day later, they sent us the same order (now a day late) with enough money for delivery.

BTW, sometimes conversations with my wife bring entirely new meaning to the expression, "My wife doesn't understand me!" Or vice-versa!
