Stupidest keepsake ever was...

Hmmm.... Ah...the memories ;)

How about FTD's "Barbie" with the pink ceramic purse container... I remember Norton telling me 2-3 years after they *tried* to pawn them off on members that there was 30,000 in the warehouse still... I offered him $1.00 each, thinking I'd Ebay them... never happened...

The one *worst* from Teleflora, that I still have (someone sent me), that I really like (yes really) is the mini Weber Grill....makes a great ashtray for the deck.....

i still have a copper watering can I think from FTD. We still use it.

I also have a 2 cup glass measuring cup at home. although the moms day sentiments have worn off.

I remember the stinky bear. also the crappy blue butterfly decal disaster from the Meg whitman era. It's been so long since I fell for the codified items, nothing else comes to mind.
 
Just thought of another one - by TF - This one was recent - That darn triangle shaped glass vase with butterflies on it.....that was susposed to be pink, but it shipped out this ghastly peach shade.....NOTHING went with that darn vase.
 
Either FTD or TF had a chicken platter that held deviled eggs. I have no idea what the arrangement was supposed to look like.

I bake my "sweet potato yum" for Thanksgiving and Christmas and put it in the copper ring and serve it up just like that!

MAYBE that's the problem with the keepsakes af recent! The keepsake needs to be ACTUALLY USEFUL after the fact!

I was always a big fan of the copper collection of TG Tf items...my Aunt who hosts TG gets one every time they have one she collects copper items so it is perfect for her...
 
Oh the list could be so long for this...

I have one that is pants, overalls to be precise, not sure where they are from, but man ugly doesn't even cover it. I hated the blue butterfly thing and all the laura ashley designs..oh yeah the crystal swans, crystal flower pot, crystal easter egg goblet....most anything crystal, I couldn't stand...

so many...so many..

The trick with all those keepsakes is to do your own thing with them instead of doing the wire service recipe. i really wanted a couple of those , but no way could I move a case! Good for you for thinking outside the chair!

That reminds me Lori-

I sent my Not-even-my-boyfriend-yet Donnie (hubby now) an empty white flower box with lots of tissue paper and a note saying "April's Fool!" one year for April's Fool day! HA! That still cracks me up!

Just reminded my hubby when I did that......He grins and says "you're so mean to me!" hehehehehehe
