Sept 26th... Lowest gas price around syracuse 2.62 my immediate area 2.74 way above that national average. If some believe that gas has gone down because republicans need to win another election than I guess it stands to reason why New York is not lowering it's gas prices, the Democrats know they already own NY.

Filled our truck for $1.94 yesterday in a small town in the upper middle portion of our state.

Have we lowered delivery fees? No. We didn't raise them either, but we did change our parameters a bit.

Are fuel and surcharges disappearing from vendors' bills?

...Sorry, it took me a while to pick myself up from the floor from laughing so hard because I don't expect to ever see them vanish or even be lowered. Nor do I expect to return to $2 deliveries from my shop either.

thing is I haven't seen a decrease in the diesel fuel costs and that is what fuels the shipping industry.

It just gets better and better around here.... I just received a letter from a local plant wholesaler dated Sept. 26th 2006 Starts out as follows: Due to the ever rising gas prices and the increasing fuel surcharges being applied to all of our shipments coming up from Florida we are finding it necessary to once again raise our delivery charges to blah blah blah and our fuel surcharge, another dollar. I also see that ever plant they are selling, no matter what size has increased .25 cents So while the rest of you all enjoy the drop in gas prices, say a prayer for me that I don't blow a blood vessel in my brain, when I pump my gas, read my mail and then have to come home to read that gas has gone down even more for you all (I am happy for ya) and up for me! I Hate NY get me out of here!

So true. It has gone down here a few cents but a good friend in the trucking industry has parked her trucks months ago. Brokers weren't paying enough to cover the rise in diesel. It's only going to get worse if the diesel doesn't follow for a bit.

So, A Question??...

THAT EVERYONE HAS "SKIRTED" AROUND......
what have YOU done to be more fuel efficient?? before partisan politics takes hold again??.....
