yes, black back drop.
Rhonda, does your eye compete between the focal and the fatsia?
Mine does, cyms should be the focal, not the fatsia.
I was told this trick of no pokon by by Marie Ackerman and Susan Ayala
but sometimes I forget anyway!!
Mark is who the good designer is! He really impressed me!We've had the discussion about wire services filling the front of a container and stating an "all around" design.
I was taking pics (everyday) for my new website (maybe....maybe not) and found this to be true... BUT...I also found if I tweaked just a flower here, flower there...I could still get a decent picture. I just need a consistant background and overhead light. I do like the "faded and blurred in the shop" pictures ala RC.
oh and Shannon, Mark says you're a very good designer and I love your contemporary feel....
Great info and nice pics. This is what I want for my new site. Are your cameras just point and shoot type, do you use the manual settings or special settings or just the auto settings? I have an area that i want to drape in black fabric like you have white, the LED lights, are they better than halogen or other light, and why. Thanks for the info. Your pics are just what I want to show. looking for more mrflowermarketBeautiful picture, Daryll.
I'm just getting the hang of photoshop.
It is soooooooo much to dink around with to learn.
My boyfriend, the mad scientist, is a cinematographer, and a nut like me.
He is waaaaaaay into led lights.
Slowly, but, surely, my shop is being transformed into a led light show.
Here is where I take pics.
Use a 5 megapixel kodak and sometimes, a 5 mp panasonic, Always use a tripod. Here is a product of easy pic taking with the led lights and no editing yet

I take all our photos with a Canon Powershot SD600, and I do use Photoshop. There is a learning curve to it, but some of the quickest advice I can give you is:Help!
I need some tips on taking good photos for our website. It's one of the things that's holding me back. I've been trying to get the content together for our floral only website (right now we're on the grocery store website and you can't hardly find us) and I'm having a hard time getting decent photos.
I really want to put our own stuff on there. There is no way we can afford to have a professional take photos every month when you want to change for seasonal/holiday specials-so I have to figure out how to do it on my own.
I have seen some nice photos on other websites. Do you take your own pics? Are you married to a photographer? How do you do it?
I would really appreciate anyone or everyone sharing their wisdom!
