Will they sell well? YES!(thanks to marketing and advertising) Will you replace a lot of them and have some unhappy customers? YES! (again thanks to marketing and advertising). Some of these photos are unfair to our customers. They are misleading and deceptive.

Brad,

They are only unfair, misleading, and deceptive to your customers if you choose to buy and sell these items. Nobody's forcing you.

I feel Teleflora is still a great service. They do a lot for education and promoting the floral industry in a positive way. I just am not a big fan of the way they present some of their designs.

I don't think it's so bad....

I think if they'd use pink alstroemeria instead of the white it would be a better over all composition, or even using charmes alstroemeria. The white is too white, it diffuses all the rest of the colors. That is what makes it less appealing.

I do not like cheesy containers. I'm sick to death of them.

I created several different price points for my Mother's day arrangements.
I personally think the hot seller will be a $40 tall design in a pyramid vase. I could be wrong.

The design is easy to do, VERY quick to do and I have enough vases to do about 200 of them. I want people to buy flowers from us even if it's only $40. I DO NOT WANT people to get out of the "habit" of buying flowers.
I refuse to price myself out of a job. I had to come up with clever specials. We aren't going to hire a bunch of extra designers. But we have to serve our customers and make money, not just fill orders. We have to give 'em what they want.

Yes we will also offer higher end stuff. And yes it will sell, but I have a VERY strong feeling that our $40 special is what will sell the most.

I have noticed the past few years that my friends that are moms, women around my age get things like digital cameras, ipods, manis and pedis stuff like that for gifts for mother's day, and MAYBE a small floral gift. $40 is just right.
I have also seen that women I know under 30 years old HATE and I do mean HATE "stupid vases" meaning the keepsake vases. They think they are dumb. I truly believe in my hearts of hearts that the modern mom does not want this "cutesie" stuff. they want to get a modern and sophisticated gift, and they want to give modern and sophisticated. Even if it's a floral gift.
just my thoughts on the subject.

It's the "organization and decluttering" mode of this new life that turns some people off on "collectibles". The older gen likes Kinkade...thinking they'll congregate the collection - make it complete - but they keep adding pieces, they collect...clutter, makes a mess in some homes........Today's children watch HGTV like the Bible and learn less is more (hmmm lesson for today) and want things that are memorable but disposable - greenly disposable ......
How do you spell disposable/disposible??

I just know a little bit about what is attractive and compelling to put on a website - and this is not it.

And you all know I luvs my cookiez.....

Price point? 79.99
No. $59.99 including local delivery so the 'retail' is $52.95. Dimensions say 17" V 14". Vase probably costs north of 8.00 + shipping but it's just a guess.

I wanna see oregonia cascade from a vase like that while the stem is still in water. A little PhotoShop, anyone?

In my world I guess so.....

And I have a brilliant devastatingly handsome white haired guy that does my market research.

Tho he's been known to be wrong a time or two.....

I received a phone call yesterday from a woman who was irate that we used leather fern instead of those nice "little green bits" that were shown in the picture! I explained to her that oregonia is a bit too small for that so we were forced to substitute.
Why make an arrangement that florists can't duplicate?
