3-4 incoming orders for V-day ... through TF from florists.

About double that from FTD shops.

Ryan

4-5 Inbound for VD from FTD florists...(no more dot.coN's here) and about the same on the outbound side...

VD is not a wire holiday like I stated a week or two ago...

Had FTD Headquarters call today wanting to know if I'd fill an order. I asked who it was the sender, they said Flowers Sent Today. I told them NO, I do not fill for them. Operator was pleasant and said thank you. Of course, they had to try to call it to me because I refused Flowers Sent Today yesterday when they called. Trying to cloak...uh huh....
Have finally stopped, still taking walk-in...am very pleased with our walk in sales today...and delivery wasn't too bad cause of lack of 800flowers orders, Hooray !!

Me too! And the Ice melted by 10am

Had to buy another 400 roses off the truck, beautiful, and for less than VD pre-order price :)

Teleflora response to proflowers ...... Hmmmmmmm

We had a couple incoming orders for Valentine's and the rest were direct calls with credit cards .... so basically local orders. Sold out of everything possible and thank goodness it's over for another year.

interesting "twist"...

had 21 FTD inbound for VDay 18 via Merc, 3 via FTD shops phoned in.
far as I can tell, managed to refuse/deflect every attempt at incoming from cloakers/OG's

More webs than wires. More direct out of town calls to beat the pants off both.

The winner of the consumer expectation award is one who walked to the store. Wanted us to sell him an arrangement right then, deliver both the flowers and HIM to the recipients place of work. Right then. Then deliver him back home. Now i know some people expect alot for their money, but??????

The only way we could get them to leave us alone was to sus the merc , which I think I'll do permanately very soon. Had 3 orders on it yesterday am , 2 from loblaws wanting doz roses delivered for $49 , and after the last stunt domestic retrans tried on Saturday and the resulting rucus and I do hope that the other shop in question files a formal complaint,I've had enough of FTD.

Same here, by far.

Multiple attempts by From You Flower of Old Saybrook, one requesting Dz white lilies delivered for around $40. Sure, when pigs fly.

Very good holiday overall. Average sale up, customer count up.
