As my 10,000th post loomed, I pondered on what I should say to mark the occasion. What profundity could I come up with to mark such an auspicious moment. While stewing and poring over thoughts and words a friend sent the following link. Anything I could possibly say is minimized completely by this video.

Thanks Victoria. It nice to see how Canadians give due tribute to their fallen sons and daughters. I wish we would do the same here, I wonder why we hide from ours?

Thom, I do believe you will be witnesses to ramp ceremonies from now on (heaven forbid that any are needed). I've never understood hiding the reality and the sorrow.

They did try to impose that here, but the public spoke... and won.

I should clarify... it's always with the permission of the families.

i was moved by your video and it goes to show how everyone loves the country they are from. the sadness lies in why do terrorists have to wreck things...
