FTD was a total waste of time and money. TOTAL !
 
Radko trees were a complete loss for us and a costly mistake on my part. TK churches big hit, sold out. Ice petals was indeed a dog. Crimson was not much better.
sold out of gingerbread, cause I pushed it. Using them up in general last minute orders, and some under advertised cost.
FTD products are gone but only through in store marketing and a desicion to use up the product. A complete lack of interest in FTD coded product, and my wire out orders were up, and not one customer asked to send them out either.

Honestly, I made several costly mistakes this year, and I will be doing differently next year.
 
Totally agree about the complete lack of interest in the FTD product.

I originally was not going to buy the trees. The 100.00 price tag made me think this will never sell. I told the TF lady no way I was buying 12 of these. She lowered it down to 3 and I said ok, I'll try it. Thinking this is a giant mistake.....Sold all 3 within a week of getting them in, asked a friend if she was having trouble selling hers. She sold me two...I had to forward 2 more to other florists....Surprise of the holiday...

Ivy, you're learning. The wire services used to create Christmas containers that sold becuase they promoted those containers. Today FTD does little or nothing to create demand for their containers and Teleflora waters down their promotion of these products by creating all those lower priced web items.

Today, if you buy those containers, you will have to push them to your customers. I made the decision years ago, that if I was going to have to push an item in order to sell it, that item would be my own. It works.

 
Update...

Down to 3 Kinkades. Sold out of C2's (figured on such...bought 72 to start) and only 5 C1's (out of24).

I would say the FTD stuff moved for us. Many of our C1's sold to customers, not wire ins...
