I got a look at I think the best selection guide yet - great arrangements, very sellable, attractive, well market researched, easy to fill, not too esoteric.

Just darn nice compelling designs that I know people will want to buy.

As well as another source for some very nice professional web images.

I was just about to dump Bloomnet, until I had my new website developed. I will add some of these selections and see how well they do. IMO, it may be worth hanging onto if they sell. We'll see....

Well, not having seen the new guide or pictures from it, judging by the arrangements on 800flowers website........I am not impressed.

I bet you could find one on ebay...

I love selection guides - awesome selling tool, mostly for out of town orders but also very handy for local as well.

Are you refering to the one that comes with membership or did you get something that I didn't...hmmmm. We have been using BLoomnet images for over a year and hands down, more orders for them than the other ws images. What I like is that they are rarely container specific and easy to describe in sending when there is no bloomnet shop in the area that you might need. The designs dont need a rocket scientist to create but for the most part they are lovely! And appartly customers like/want that look. Based on my understanding, having your own images is a bonus as well, but with my photography skills, this is the next best thing for now.I have their new wedding cd on my desk, just haven't had the chance to review it.

Sher, take a look at the wedding cd. 3 out of my last 4 brides have chosen from the bloomnet wedding guide. The pricing seems high at first glance, but you can play with the numbers. The (wedding) book & selection is the nicest I've seen in 30 years.
A really easy sell.

I was prepared to tell Bloomnet tomorrow that I wasn't interested. NOW you have me second guessing ????

They seem to be offering some services that compare very favorably with the other wire services.

Products (containers vases baskets etc) offered are also nice, sellable, fairly inexpensive, and very reasonable on freight ($5 per case you just can't beat, even from other wholesalers)

They key would seem to be to use what you can to your benefit and pass on the rest.

Or, like I always say, use them like a cheap woman of the night, just like the others. It's just that this woman of the night has some fairly attractive features. ("Would you look at the boobs on that wire service!")

:boggles:

too cool.

I just went to the bloomnet site and glanced at some of the pics...very nice!! I see that it's attached to MAS so that is really cool because that's the system I am planning to use.
Saved to bookmarks, thanks!

JB, your post inspired me to throw up a few of these images on my site. I must say that they have made an immediate impact. All the arrangements are selling well; the "Showers of Flowers" in particular. I will be adding more of these, and if they continue to sell, this may just be the difference between leaving and staying as a member.

You can call them a lot of things, but one thing they do well is create items that sell.

So the pics are great but can you make them for what the sell them for????

Sure you can, but price them any darn way you wish.

It's another great source for professional images of professional arrangements.

I choose not to reinvent wheels.:hammer:

We just dropped bloomnet, one of our major problems was the wire ins being at THEIR prices and being way way too low. If I take their recipe and add it up with my pricing, sometimes there is a $20 difference.

So I guess my question really is if you get a wire in for one of those products at THEIR price, does it come close to match to what you would sell it for? Or do you care, do you just fill it anyway and loose money on the order?

In a whole I never really had a problem with their designs, for the most part I like them, and will agree that they are sellable. Although I did get tired of seeing pretty much the same design with a slightly different name. I mean how many Fields of Europe can you have??

I have WS images on my site..they are all priced higher to include a realistic delivery...one that I would deliver for as well as a realistic price for the arrangement. When we get a WS order, if t falls below our price, we ask for additional money..sometimes we get it, sometimes they cancel..no biggie. Their prices are often undervalued...just plain stupid priced. I use the images that I want, the price I want, and do not have to worry about what they (WS) want...kinda nice feeling. None of our customers have complained about our pricing and each zip code that we serve which is about 35 has a different price...from 9.99 to 21.99. Use your pricing on anything you have online. Good luck
Sher...and if my images were as professionally done like RC's...then I would use some of mine but sending across the country at least gives you a safe realm to travel with other florists interpretations of what you are asking for.
