The Coalition of the Opportunistic are threatening to overthrow the current government in Canada.

The group consists of a Liberal leader that 7 weeks ago lost so many seats his own party forced him into resigning.

An NDP leader whose party has never come close to governing, but will now be assigned 25% of the cabinet seats in the new government.

And the best one...the "controlling interest" will be in the hands of the Blockhead Quebecois...whose primary goal is to separate from Canada!

God help us all...

Thanks for bringing this up.

This wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong!

Let the collective losers get elected. Oh yeah they tried that and they lost again.

Let us LEND our CANADIAN FRIENDS our MANTRA!

Appears as if, our friends to the NORTH have their own POLITICAL CHALLENGES to DEAL WITH.

The one word MANTRA used in our past election was "CHANGE!"

Seemed to work for the SHEEPLES and DRONES in our neck of the woods, and so, I'm happy to lend it to you good CANUCKS.

For most of the 52% of voters who voted for CHANGE, they did so because, in reality, most of them can only decipher and handle, only ONE WORD at a time.

Good luck to my Canadian friends! Suffice it to say that, the 57 Million of us in the lower 48, who voted based on DA FACTS, did the best that we could. And, sadly, we lost since, the rest of the voters, many of whom didn't even know that, the DEMOCRATICS were in control of our CONGRESS, or that, Sarah Palin was NOT OBAMA'S CHOICE for VP, had the right to vote under our Constitution, and regardless of the level of their IGNORANCE!

YES Dorothy, there's NO PLACE LIKE HOME!

Well, I can't see Russia from My House but I do see the moon. Does that make me an astronaut?

The MOON, and from where I BEE, has two wonderfully bright planets at 2:00 and 4:00 O'clock, Jupiter and Venus.

http://sciencemode.com/2008/12/01/missed-the-jupiter-venus-moon-show-try-again-tuesday-night/

This event will not be seen again by any of us until 2052, and suffice it to say that, TOTO will be long gone by then!

While it may not make either of us an Astronaut, it does qualify both of us to be an observer of special lunar events in our solar system.

As to RUSSIA, suffice it to say that, Putin sees Chavez as his SPECIAL NEW FRIEND! As such, we need to be very concerned, since both of them working together forstering their mutual HATE of the United States, could make the CUBA RUSSIAN MISSILE CRISIS of 1964 look like a picnic and the BAY OF PIGS like a small backyard BARBEQUE!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cuban_Missile_Crisis

The FAR LEFT WING MEDIA made lite of Governor Sarah Palin's comment that, she could see Russia from Alaska. Fact is that, it's only 55 Miles from Alaska to Russia at their closest points.

http://www.slate.com/id/2200155/

Sarah could see Russia from that vantage point, and since she is the Commander in Chief of the Alaskan National Guard, the only guard unit on PERMANENT DUTY 24/7/365, she is THE ONLY GOVERNOR of all our States to have the HIGHEST SECURITY CLEARANCE, and due to her State's proximity to the potential Russian Ballistic Missile attacks on the US.

Thanks for all that info, TOTO. But the joke was that Palin has no significant foreign policy experience, from what I understand. Oh, and she forgot to mention Canada (has she visited us?), a very NICE 'foreign' country which happens to be her closest bordering neighbor to Alaska (btw: the largest undefended border in the world is between Canada and the US, as I'm sure you know).

Looks like you just might still be around for the next one too, TOTO:

or, if you don't trust that one:

Watch Jupiter and Venus Hook Up

"After Dec. 1, Venus and Jupiter will next get together again in the morning sky on May 11, 2011."

They did, without having a clue what we were gonna change to - that's how bad the Repubican Bush-Cheney Administration /Crime Cartel had things forked up.

I think the mantra really was

"Anything has to be better than this sh*t".:bouncy:

At least for the *thinking* voters that is, you know - the ones who have the capability to recognize failure when it bites them on the ass. (or hits them on the head like an anvil) :corky

I think I maybe will go take a picture of that sign

BENTON COUNTY REPUBLICAN HEADQUARTERS - CLOSED INDEFINITELY FOR REPAIRS.

It's a beautiful thing...

Well, this is about Canada so I'll bring the thread back.

Funny, a friend of mine in London called it the coalition of Larry, Curly and Moe.

I have already signed the petition and have sent it on to all Canadians I know. Hopefully someone out there will pay attention to the will of the people.

While I didn't vote for the current government, it is the lesser of all the evils at this point in time.

A deal with the devil, who's only purpose is to strive to separate from Canada, makes me shake my head in disbelief.

On the bright side... Canadian politics hasn't been this interesting since Trudeau.

The "hostage" like tape of Dion last night certainly didn't help their cause.

PM expected to request suspension of Parliament in GG meeting
CBC News

Prime Minister Stephen Harper is expected to ask the Governor General to suspend Parliament when he meets with her Thursday morning in a bid to avoid a confidence vote that could topple his minority government.

Harper, who has pledged to use "every legal means" to prevent a Liberal-NDP coalition government, backed by the Bloc Québécois from taking power, will visit Gov. Gen. Michaëlle Jean at 9:30 a.m. ET.

His visit comes a day after he took to the airwaves to make his case that his government should remain in power.

In a five-minute, pre-recorded statement Wednesday night, Harper spoke bluntly against a proposed Liberal-NDP coalition backed by "separatists," saying the federal government must stand unequivocally for keeping the country together in the face of the global economic crisis.

It is widely believed Harper will ask Jean, who returned to Ottawa on Wednesday after cutting short a two week trip to Europe, to prorogue, or suspend, the current session of Parliament until the end of January, when his party is slated to table a budget.

If she agrees to prorogue Parliament, Harper's Conservatives will be able to avoid a no-confidence vote in the House of Commons on Monday that could precipitate the rise of a Liberal-NDP coalition.

But the Governor General faces other political options as well. She could refuse the prime minister's request and decide to call an election should the Conservatives lose the confidence vote. Or she could allow the proposed Liberal-NDP coalition to govern if the no-confidence vote is successful.

Liberal Leader Stéphane Dion, who would head the proposed coalition, said he sent a letter to Jean on Wednesday, urging her to reject any attempt by Harper to prorogue Parliament.

Dion responded to Harper's address with his own taped rebuttal in which he defended the notion of a proposed coalition government "as normal and current practice in many parts of the world."

The Conservatives have lost the confidence of the majority of members of the House of Commons — largely because of their, in the opposition's view, inadequate reaction to Canada's financial crunch — and thus, "have lost the right to govern," Dion said.

The coalition sprang up after the Tories released an economic statement that was lambasted by the opposition parties.

They accused Harper of doing nothing to address the current economic crisis and slammed what they saw as ideologically driven measures such as the proposed elimination of subsidies for political parties, a three-year ban on the right of civil servants to strike and limits on the ability of women to sue for pay equity.

Harper has since backed down on those contentious issues, but the opposition has pushed forward with the coalition.

The coalition — which would have a 24-member cabinet composed of six NDP and 18 Liberal MPs — has vowed to make an economic stimulus package a priority, proposing a multibillion-dollar plan that would include help for the auto and forestry sectors.

With 77 Liberal MPs and 37 New Democrats, plus the support of 49 Bloc members, the three parties have more seats than the 143 held by the Tories.

I think we should have another election and let Harper get his majority.
The money that it costs would come no where near to what it will cost us to have Larry, Curly and Moe in charge!

Agreed lets have another election.

Who really cares about the confidence of the government. Why don't they form a coalition and then try to win an election that way.

I am all for a Harper majority! The falling Canadian dollar is stimulus enough, and Harper knows that.

Any why would they let Dion run this coalition when the Canadian People DO NOT WANT DION in any power.

I think they been smoking too much wacky tobbacco!

I did not vote for Harper but he was voted by the voice of canadian.
Larry, Curly & Moe should honor that!
Don't they know they can get hit hard at the polls later!

I wouldnt mind another election and Larry Curly & Moe get slammed dunked for this stupidity!

Votes of non-confidence happen in the parliament system - one brought down Clark's government, another (the Conservatives and the Bloq) brought down Martin's. That said, I don't support a non-confidence vote when the current government hasn't tabled a budget yet.

The problem is that the MPs forget that they don't work for their parties, they work for us. They need to be reminded of that.

I heard Stephan Dion on a T.V. spot and I thought Holy Cow we will have to bring Jean Cretian back to translate.

I keep looking for the English captioning on the bottom of the screen.

Actually, I make a concerted effort to read his lips, as this is the only way I can understand him.

:rofl::rofl::rofl:

One little tidbit.

The Coalition purports to represent 62% of Canadian voters that didn't vote for Harper, BUT...

Of the voters in B.C., Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, the Yukon, the North West Territories & Nunuvut...

1.5 million voted either Liberal or NDP, and...

2.1 million voted Conservative!

If the 3 Stooges screw this up, watch for the rise of the Parti Separtiste l'Ouest (Western Separtist Party).
