Lori,

You are an absolute inspiration!! Thank you so much for this update.

I have not had to deal with all you've been dealing with. Although I do struggle with food choices too, and am about 60 lbs. overweight now, and have been so for at least 10 years. I lost 25 about 18 months ago, then hurt my shoulder and quit exercising, and it's all back.

Frustrating.

Lori that goes both ways. Friends indeed. :)

Now, before I forget, how is your husband making out on his journey?

My husband is doing great also...He has lost 166 lbs...looks like a different person acts like a different person, does so much more....He struggles so much less than I with food issues and body issues, that I am grateful for...He also no longer has diabetes or blood pressure issues...not sure about the sleep apnea, he won't let the machine go...He still wants to lose 40-50 more lbs but it is slow going for him now...he is happy were he is should he not be able to lose anymore and is very satisfied with his progress. I do get concerned with him that he may not be dealing with his issues and that he may be ignoring them, but that is a whole other ball of wax, he says he is fine and dealing well and that is what matters...thanks for asking...

Please congratulate him for me Lori. What a great gift you are giving eachother. People who don't have weight issues don't understand (sometimes) that it isn't just about the loss... it's about the emotional issues as well.

Lori:

congratulations to you and your husband!! My math says that the 2 of you have lost 2 peoples!!

I know that this type of loss is a struggle. I have 2 friends who are stuggling now. One had weight loss surgery (like yours) and one had a heart attack & 5-way by-pass, that has forced him to lose a lot of weight!!

I applaud all of you each & every day! Thanks for keeping us posted on your progress & allowing us to cheer you on!!

not just 2 people but 2 larger size peoples...There is now 256 lbs less person in our king size bed....that number just boggles my mind, it is very hard to wrap your head around even when you live it, neither one of us remembers being that big...
