Vacation!

I have been to Spain and will be going back again for a surprise visit to my mum just for a laugh, we did it once before and she absolutely loved it..

Also will be having as many sat and suns in the caravan this year.

Sandy i have a few, i want to go to Rome with the hubby, I want to go to Sorento and Venice to. Then i want to go to the states with the kids and do the whole disney experience etc that i had as a child. Loved every minute of it, loved the syrup on pancakes and ice cream being called frozen yoghurt, loved that everyone told us to have a nice day. I want my kids to get all that!! And i am certain we will, might be in 2011 yet though but we will get there.

I also want to take them to Gambia to experience other cultures so that they can realise how lucky they are.

Sticking pretty close to home this year, going to Portland, Oregon area later in June for shopping and theater with my daughter. I really need to take the vacation before I get burned out, I even spend my days off doing stuff for the store, my bad.

My first preference is to go somewhere warm with a beach, not happening this year though. Hubby heads to the mountains nearby for fishing and camping, not me, I want a soft bed, no strenuous activity, no thinking and a latte every hour.

We just got home from the weekend for Memorial day, this is the 2nd weekend that we have went to Daytona Beach, Fla. We love it, we were able to stay 4 days last week and this week we were able to leave on Friday afternoon and return on Monday afternoon. IT was beautiful. We are looking forward to going the 4th of July, 2009 and our three children and their husbands and wives. We always have family time. We close the flower shop during the 4th of July for a week have been doing this for 22 years.

My ultimate dream is to see the Amalfi coast in Italy. I am saving Continental miles and Hilton points so I can afford it some day. I might be 90 by the time I get there, but I will get there. Someway, somehow.

Second to that would be to go back to Banff, Alberta. Most beautiful place I have seen yet.

I am spending 6 days at Mikey's the flower Guy Cottage. We plant to trash it!

Second, I hope we can leave for a whole week in november to go to Augusta, Ga for thanksgiving.

Sandie and I will be on the Amalfi Coast for 4 days,the end of July, in a little town called Ravello, for a family wedding, then driving into Rome for a little sightseeing.
Banff is one of those places you'll NEVER forget...just a little town, with a HUGE influx of tourists in the summer, and skiers in the winter.
Hiking across the glaciers surrounding parts of Lake Louise is something you would never get to grips with!!

Fishing in a tournament June 19-21 and then spending the rest of that week helping my son rebuild a run down camp on lake property he just bought. Hopefully we will find a few more hours to do some fishing during that time

I love Grand Marais! My sister-in-law used to live there. Beautiful! I would also like to visit New Zealand and Ausralia. One of my old college roomies lives in Australia and I would love to go visit her.

I have not had a vacation in a year so this summer look out!
I can not wait for a vacation!!!!

lots of 3 and 4 day trips with a big one at the end.

4th of july at the Cape
The following week we are taking the kids to NY City for the first time they are very excited to see lady liberty :~) and the Bronx Zoo

camping in NH end of July

Aug off to Florida disney 4 nights universal 5 nights
after that back to the same old same old

Week in the Poconos July 3-10th.

Every other weekend we usually crash my fathers beach house in Avalon, NJ (free house... beach block, well stocked with beverages, do I need to say more??)

Also thinking about a DC long weekend since my kids recently saw NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM TWO and have a sudden interest in the Smithsonian.... so we're running with that - LOL.

Correct me if I'm wrong... I thought taking a vacation was against rule #6,528 in the florists handbook.

It's right before rule #6,529 that states all florists that don't stay up all night on Feb. 13th are weinies.

Well, I just got back from my vacation.....a first in many ways - my first singular vacation and my first non-floral singular vacation. In years past, I have usually involved my family in vacation plans......this year I did one on my own.

I enjoyed the three day Memorial Day weekend at an exclusive gay male only resort.
