Vote Dundas Please!

darndest thing.....I was up north at a close friend's lake house installing a new combo boiler system, and we worked inside AND outside all day Saturday, and it was little overcast, with a few dribbles of rain, but no winds, and Sunday was beautiful.
Two and a half hours south, there were heavy winds, torrential rains, and much power loss, Toronto was hit pretty hard as well, and we'd probably have "escaped" ANY sewer backup damage, except a little "birdie" told me the Dundas/West Hamilton pumping station failed, though, the city adamantly denies it......mine was a more credible grapevine.....

YIKES!

Sorry to hear about the floods big guy...

Been outta' the country in Miami/Mexico for the past 10 days, & am posting this from Lake Chapala.

Just voted...& take care...everything looks better manyaner!!!!!

Wow, we're in Forest City, on East Grand Lake. Well, actually our house is on Grand Lake Stream which is the border. Is this the area your family/friends are?
they're in Sunnyside Beach...not that far from Minto....what a small world!!

we're down to the nitty gritty....<bump>, <bump>.....
thank you to all.....I know the voting "test" is a little perplexing, however, IF you cannot read the "verbage", just hit vote, and it gives you another letter string.
This was done on purpose.....and made it a little tougher, to "prove" how dedicated the voters are!!

Done and Done my friend.

OK, here goes everything......Dundas is now part of a select group of 5 towns chosen as the finalists, to be announced this Saturday on CBC, and we're now truly down to the wire...you guys think you can spare a few more votes??? if time allows......our town is so involved, and so excited, there are lawn signs all over the place!!
So, I'm asking again...you guys made a tremendous difference......don't be mad at me for intruding, by asking so many times......

absolutely astounding results, all your votes and support has meant very much, to myself, and our hometown of DUNDAS,Ontario,Canada, that was chosen as the 1st place finisher in the Kraft Foods Hockeyville challenge, will receive $100,000.00 in CDN funds to upgrade, and modernize our legendary local arena, that will host an NHL pre-season game on Sept 21/10 by garnering over 1,066,000 some odd online votes well ahead of the fine folks in Bishops Falls, Newfoundland.
The announcement came, by NHL league commissioner Gary Bettman, last night on CBC news, to a huge waiting throng of Dundasians, at the arena, and around the world!!
The story is here:

THANK YOU to my fellow FlowerChat supporters, for all that you have done for me, and my community...it was very special!!

Mikey,
I am so excited for your town, my 7 and almost 9 year old grandson play hockey here in St. Louis, I love going to the games. I voted and am happy to be a part of your town's success from middle America.

Ditto on what she said. Well, except for the grandsons part, .....I'm still waiting for those.
