Please pray with me for all those in Katrina's current path. No one knows the terror and damage those Cat 5 storms can inflict until you've been in one. We lost the house and business down to the ground in Andrew in '92 from a tornado that was in the storm, Compared to a Cat 5 storm what we just experianced this week was a minor annoyance. The folks who are about to experiance Katrina will need our prayers for months and perhaps years to come. I pray for devine intervention to calm the storm and keep them safe.

Thanks for all the good thought directed to South Florida the last couple of days. Sher did you get your power yet? We got home power late yesterday afternoon, what a joy to sleep with AC and especially a fan. could deal without the ac - cleaning out the fridge today. will be back up to full force tomorrow and delivering if anyone needs deliveries to south dade.

am hearing that homestead and florida city are still very wet. will be calling all home deliveries first though. not sure if all power and phones are back up yet. Barbara, Blooming Gardens

Thanks Sher for all your good thoughts.

Prayers is what we need ...

New Orleans mostly. This is what we have always feared. The worst Baton Rouge will get is downed power lines and wind damage New Orleans however is facing being underwater.

The good note is that it hasn't rained much here so the Miss. River is about 7 feet below noramal low stage this time of year so most of the tidal surge with be pushed north. However once the Mississippi River fills and the Ponchatrian Lake the water has no where to go and New Orleans is essential a Lake waiting to be filled.

Pray for all that will be touched.

Wait and see from here.

God Speed,

HERO

p.s. Will report as soon as I can after it hits and I have power.

Take care Mr Badass

You might have met your match with this gal.We will be praying for all of you Heroman's ...and happy to bring some vans up filled with stuff, it it requires that! Be careful of the wind and the rain on Katrina. She did far more damage here than anyone expected and now she has grown into a monster....watch yourself..we'd miss your posts and FTD rah rahs if you get blown away bubba!

Debi de la Flor was at Southern Retail in Charlotte. She told me that she and her husband were on the last flight out of Ft. Lauderdale before the hurricane hit. She also said that her advice for anyone in the path of a Catagory 5 hurricane was to run, run as fast as you can.
