Unfortunately, I no longer have the paper work on that order. This happened sometime last year and I eventually shredded it to protect the customer's credit card #. I did contact Teleflora customer rep and just as I expected, they don't care. In fact the customer rep I spoke with told me this was not in violation of TF rules! I hope that is not true and she was just either trying to get me off the phone or misinformed. In any case, these big website shops make so much money for the wire services, they will never kill their golden goose.
I have left Teleflora and they couldn't care less. We used to send thousands of dollars worth of orders, all exclusively through TF but now, we use a credit card. 99% of shops are smart enough to accept our orders with 20% discount on product and no discount on delivery. I have to think that the ones who don't are just ill informed on how profitable that can be for them. Why not do that? Credit card fees are what.. 3% max? I use a Master Card, not AMEX. They get only 70% of the order on TF inwires, give discount on the FULL amount, pay $2 fee if phoned in and now I see they have gone up to $1.75 on Dove? maybe the phone-in fee has gone up, too? plus they get their money TODAY, not in 60 days and don't have to put in a request for it by a deadline.. It's a no brainer to me.. I have always welcomed credit card orders from other shops even when I was a member of multiple wire services.
