I see that a lot of people are on here, unless you are logged in but doing something else, which sometimes happens.

Anyway, what are your big plans if any, for the weekend?

I'm going to work tomorrow and then head to Chi-town to spend time with some of the fam.

I will be closed on Monday, but if someone calls I will go in and make pretty flowers for them. We really don't have too many plans Monday. Just chill, maybe go for a bike ride. I'm looking forward to it!

Hope you all have a great weekend too.

Small wedding on Sunday. Monday I get to march in the parade with y 4 year old and her class mates, woo hoo! After that I am going out with the boys to a motocross race nearby and get drunk whilst the ladies sip tea and eat scrumets and gossip sophisticated stuff.

Well let's see, Saturday working until 5:30, Sunday delivering funeral work and planting our vegetable garden, Monday delivering more funeral work and hopefully fitting in time to attend at party at a friends.

Just about every florist in Syracuse NY will be closed for either 2 1/2 or the 3 full days. The funeral work started coming in pretty steady the last 2 hours of the day. I imagine I might even end up working more than stated above.

The summer will be long and slow, I will kick myself in the ass if I do not take all that I can this weekend. Besides the fact, I really hate the idea of any grieving family having to go without flowers because everyone else in the world is celebrating a holiday and they are morning a death.

Oh dude, I see a bike and I say I need one of those, and then I say, I need a dinette set, bike, dinette set... I'll take the dinette set, right honey?

Bloomz you will be disgusted but when I said bike ride I meant bicycle. Enjoy your ride though! Does the wifey go with you?

You just tell your wife a time comes in a Man's life when he either has to get a motorcycle or a mistress and let her decide.

Oops and not much since the baby....and she kinda hates my bike cuz it broke my leg.

funeral tomorrow
finishing up delivered memorial pieces and wreaths for American Legion
Consult with bride tomorrow a.m.
Sunday looks like doing $100 easel for burial Monday 10 a.m. unless I get it done tomorrow.
Monday deliver wreaths and memorial arrangements to cemetery (some of my clientele are getting too infirmed to take their fresh flowers to the cemetery and since I did $200 silks for them, least I can do is take the two baskets when I go visit my Mom and grandparents graves too)
Hubby works Sunday and Monday but baby girl will be home so can visit with her a bit (hope she remembers to bring my Mother's Day orchid plant home with her!)
Finish planting the hostas I bought before the mosquitos take me away. Then I hope to sit back, watch the hummingbirds, grosebeaks, and finches tearing into my bird feeders and VEG....
(Harley's in the shop awaiting a stater, so no riding this weekend for us)

Just hoping I don't float away.. Seriously.

I would be a fool to mess on my wife, she does let me fly home once a year to ride Jawbone Canyon in the Mojave with my bro. Been doing it since I was 4. I use to race Haren Hound in the 70's. Use to ride the Baja, brother still does.

Just finished the last of Sunday's pick-ups for the cemetary.

Hopefully, nothing tomorrow except nag my son to get the deliveries done.
Sunday, wholesalers in the early morning, probably process the little I get.
Monday, AM, arrange the 18 roses for a very good customer and make an arrangement for a pick up.... and then nag my son to get the delivery done for the roses.

I hope to have a nice do nothing weekend, maybe weed and plant some flowers. If I get an order... yep, I will make it. But it will be a very low key weekend.

happy Memorial Day!

Good sized wedding tomorrow; midnight take it out; Big church dedication to deliver tomorrow too; 100th birthday party; Celebration at the Station flowers for Sun. Yippee. I'm delighted we are busy.

After all that . . . helping Mom and Dad clean out their garage etc. so they can put their house on the market and move to assisted living; attend Celebration at the Station (KY Symphony Memorial Day concert at Union Station); ride my horse!!

Working (well..sitting in the shop, iot's been real quiet this week) Sat, going to wifes works ball Sat night, drinking beer and playing computer games SUn.

We do have one order for your Memorial Day on Monday from the local council. We have a Naval Base here so I assume there must be some US military types in town.

Lots of work at the shop Sat. Early Sunday selling poppies for the American Legion, Crawfish boil in the afternoon. If the weather holds out we'll dust off the motorcycle on Monday!!

Hope everyone enjoys the holiday and pays their respects to our fallen veterans.

Tried to give you a green dot.........
American Legion Auxiliary... Serving our veterans...past, present, and future!

Crazy weekend here. I'm just getting home from the shop (it's 11:22pm) and I have to be back at 6:30am and will pick up the rental truck at 8. Three weddings tomorrow. Two big and one small pick up. Rehearsal dinner tonight (finished).

The one venue for tomorrow dropped the bomb on me and I now have to go and pick up at midnight tomorrow (by myself) rather than 10am Sunday as originally discussed. It's big enough to need a rental truck so I anticipate working until 3am since I don't have staff on this short of notice. (will get pick up terms in writing for now on...) Have to be back to tear down wedding #2 at 9am on Sunday followed by 3 consultations.

I AM TAKING MONDAY OFF!!! (I say that now, but I know I'll probably end up at the shop for one reason or another.)

Three weekends in a row like this and this is the first...

Thankfully, the weddings turned out AMAZING! Did you ever think of painting fiddlehead ferns? I'll try to post pics early next week of the gold fiddleheads from my "Vintage Hollywood" wedding.

....at a motocross race? sophisticated? Dang times have changed!

Wellll, it's not really this weekend but, close enough. We're leaving Monday for a week long trail ride in Tennessee with the horses. I can't even wait. We went grocery shopping tonight preparing to "rough it" with a group of our friends (and by "rough it" I mean stainless steel appliances, 600 thread count sheets, hot showers, home cooked meals, flat screen tv to watch our dvds and running water in our horse trailer/camper ;))

OH! And the best part...no cell phone service for 7 days!!

Today, I will go into work to do my usual church flowers and I have a small wedding pick up....Then at 1pm I will close and head over to a bbq/yard opener at my friend's house....nice yard, built in heated pool, bocci court, horseshoe pit, outdoor bar, great friends, what more could you ask for.

Sunday finish opening my pool and yard...hopefully getting some sort of outdoor activity in...

Monday relaxing and enjoying some social time with more friends...
