Maybe I read it wrong??
Sher, I see your point, however I see it this way...most additional zip codes corospond to other little cities...they may all be in **Philly** but they have their own names as well...
For me, Hope Michigan is really part of Midland, but it has it's own zip, thus it would be an additional fee. Adding the $8.00 to the $1.00 and 27% on a $50.00 order for the 1-2 orders a month to that zip makes that order UNprofitable.
I no longer fill for Da Dot, (it's a Walmart thing) however when I did, I listed perhaps 20 zip codes that I was unwilling to put into the directory because of the ASB listing TAX, when in reality I was doing them a favor covering those zips for them.
I feel this will (for those florists that pay attention) lessen coverage, not increase it. But then we already know many florists will not notice the change until they get the November statement in December, then they will be too busy with Christmas, and forget until January, thus FTD will get a couple months taxes before the change can be put in on behalf of the florist.
Anyone notice how these things are always timed around major holidays? Oh and any changes must be made by September 7th...2 days after Labor Day when many owners may still be on vaca...
