Annaleisa,
Thoughts and prayers from Maine. Attitude, outlook, and goals are what you seem to have and will pursue. Keep those at your side and the rest will fall into place.

To everyone who has posted words of comfort, and encouragement, I sincerely thank you.

I know what a battle I have in front of me, and all I can do is fight. I plan on doing whatever has to be done to beat this.

I have never really been a very verbal person. It is hard for me to put into words what my soul wants to say. You are each and every one very special to me. I have been reading this board for many years, at least twice a day. This is my morning coffee time, and my just before bed time. You have taught me so much.

Now it is my time to share with you, and try my best to help you.
I hope that my story will spur you on. I will feel that I've achieved my purpose if just one or two people listen and get a check up.

I am going to take a laptop to the hospital with me. I hope that I will be physically able to keep in touch with you.

Thank you all for your continued prayers and good thoughts. God knows how much I need them now.

Annaleisa

Annaleisa,

I will pray to the God who is bigger and can accomplish more in an instant than we could ever hope to in a million lifetimes, for peace, comfort and health for you and for your family.

Annaleisa, Hugs and good wishes are headed your way from Nevada. You have a very tough road ahead of you but you can do it. Stay as postive as you can. This is my 14th. year since breast cancer. After my Dr. told me he said Laughter is the best Medicine. Keep your sense of humor. It will not only help you but those you love. Post when you can, we're all here to support you.

You will be in our thoughts and prayers in Mississippi also. And I will also make an appointment that I have been putting off because it is just so inconvienient. Thank You for using a scary time to think of others. I feel certain God has much left for you to do. We'll keep the faith with you and for you when you need.

Annaleisa, thank you for caring enough to post your story. You have already been instrumental in helping one person. My sister is a breast cancer survivior (2 years) who recently decided to discontinue her medications. I told her about you and she said, "I'm going back on my pills today."

I pray for you several times every day, and now I've added prayers of praise and thanksgiving for you also. God bless you.

What Can I say....

I kNow....

I am sending you Mikey the flower Guy!

He will make you laugh, take care of you when you are ill, ship up those girls in the store, and even take out the garbage for you.

Best wishes and hugs from Elliot Lake

Prayers from California are on their way to you!

Annaleisa, To me, the most beautiful thing about FlowerChat is that in time of need, a FlowerChat member can receive prayers from across the miles. You are now a recipient of many, many prayers. Add mine to those that are praying for strength and healing. Keep the faith.

Yippee Ky Yeah, ...

OK, you plan a trip thinking you are finally getting the trip you've been promising yourself you would do someday. The tickets are bought, summer wardrobe is packed, your'e going to the Bahamas to research pirates and rum! The departure date arrives, you get on the plane, you fly endless hours and the plan lands, you get off and low and behold you're not in your island paradise, you're in Northern England! What do you do? It's not the trip you had planned, but it is a trip. Defining the 'adventure' is completely up to you now. England has it's charms and history and beauty but only if you choose to see. You mourn the loss of your dreams. People we love, people that love us and show us kindness, greatjob ( we got to be florists!) and good food is what King Solomon
said make life worth living. My daughter just informed me a version of this story is becoming very popular but it was new to me and incredibly uplifting.

So how is recovery going?? Robin

Recovery

Hi Robin -

I made it through the surgery! I have to think that that is step 1. The doctors were not able to get all of the cancer. They left a tumor on a major vein, but marked it for radiation for later when I'm stronger. They didn't even attempt to work on the breast, and chest cavity issues. I'll be going in for a post op evalution on July 5, and we should learn then when I can start Chemo. and Radiation. I capitalize those two, because they are my friends.

I had the surgery on Thurs. July 21, at 12:00PM, and was back home by Wed. July 27, at 3:00PM. Not bad! I know it was the prayers and warm wishes. I'm moving around like a much older person, which is irritating, but I'm moving, and it will get easier every day. Your "Meditations" remain an important part of my day.

My daughter set up a "Recovery Blog" for us, I hope the following link will work. http://theboggsfamily.blogspot.com This has made it so much easier in our small town to keep everyone up to date, without exhausting ourselves with explanations.

Who knows, this recovery thing might be the best thing that ever happened to me.

Thank you all for your continued prayers. I still have a long hard road ahead.

Annaleisa, that blog is awesome, as are you! You remain in my prayers, and you are on my church's prayer list also. God bless you.
