Hey Goodie, I've got my Christmas tree/decor up too! Despite the poor economy, I"m really in the Christmas mood this year.
What kind of colors/theme do you have for your decor? I LOVE to see what others choose for their decor.
My Christmas decor/colors are Red and White. I have a Gingerbread boy/girl, Candy Cane, Snowflake theme. I have these cool, large swirly decorations on the tree that are whimsical and almost Dr. Seuss like. I wanted a distinctly whimsical, almost childlike feel. I love all the gingerbread boy/girl dolls on my tree and mantle. Silk everygreens w/lights, a gingerbread house, candy canes, shiny red balls, red poinsettias and fake snow make my mantle look fun and festive. Just for a little extra fun I add some gumdrop accents. I have a red/white candy cane striped bow w/long tails as my tree topper. Snowflakes hang on the tree, from my mantle and from the ceiling beam that separates my kitchen and living room area. My new "addition" this year are large, sparkly white "snowball" ornaments for my tree. I do use silk poinsettias to keep my theme from being too over the top, though. Friends and family love to visit and see my decorations...especially the kids!
I'm curious how everyone else decorates their homes for the holidays!
Lisa, thats sounds gogeous ! i love the gingerbread theme? My lounge is brown and Cream, so my decs in there are Browns and Golds, with dried fruits and cinnamon, cones and choclate coloured ribbons.
My Tree is in my Conservatory this year,I have red accessories in there, ie cushions and rug. So i have a garland hanging across the room with red berries. On the tree i have sparkly Red baubles, Gold and Glass mirror baubles. I went to Disneyland Paris last year and bought Micky Mouse Baubles there, which are just gorgeous ! My 8 yr old son then added all the choclates to the tree.....and started eating them !!!

Buhumburg!! LOL tho I have all my shopping done I AM not in the mood for Christmas!! I hate cold,snow and high bills... and the let down after the holidays. Mi winter is way tooooo looog~

Sounds absolutely stunning Goodie! I just LOVE the Chocolate brown, cream and gold look....it would be my choice if I didn't have my red and white gingerbread theme.
You add real chocolates to your tree? Wow....that wouldn't last long in my house. My 8 year old son would eat 'em too!
Our tree at home is all traditional , its a white tree with gold and red decs with lots of candy canes (no chocs so cousins cant eat them)
I am really fussy about my tree, and dont really want any help doing it.....im quite relieved when my son gets bored of helping ????

Brad, your pic brought little tears of rememberance to my eyes. My boys are 38 and 34. No babies in the house anymore. I really miss that.
I encouraged them early on in their marriages to create their own Christmas memories in their homes. I do enjoy decorating my shop though. Hubby and I haven't put up a tree at the house in a few years now.
This years shop them is Peace Love and Joy on little pillow ornaments, with large white mantle decked out in greens and traditional plaid ribbons.
Life size santa sitting in a chair wearing a plaid shirt under his santa duds.
Other large window will be really large cylinder vases full of individual colors of old glass ornaments. on glass teared shelving.
If I can get to it, would like to paint Christmas greens and holly berries on the windows.
Oh course gotta have a big new wreath on the door, and our crafty handmade reindeer heads on post with their little hooves holding merry Christmas signs in pots outside. Oh, and lit trees on either side of door.
I've got tooooo much stuff, have to restrain myself so it still has a "theme" when it's all done.
The pups are really diggin' the straw we put in their houses, from the fall/Thanksgiving windows.

I am getting my stuff out of the loft tomorrow, ready for monday. White tree with pink and brown and accessories. It did start with all white like winter wonderland but then i had a girl!!
I think we should all post pics of our trees, what do you think? I will post monday when its up...
Brad your little girl is soo cute too, looks like she is getting right into the decorating, must be creative, i can feel a saturday job coming on??
Thanks Palms! My son Noble is a total sweetheart and soooo funny! He has me laughing all the time! He helped me decorate the tree so some of the decorations are bunched together. hehehe You know how kids decorate!

This is my Tree..looked ok until my son added the Spongebob chocolates. yellow didnt go with my colour scheme !1
