Xmas Tree up and lights are on !

I have put a tree up for the first time in seven years. My new place called out for a tree so I bought one. Just a five footer (about my height so easy to decorate). Of course one thing led to another and now all the Christmas things have escaped from pergatory and now look lovely in their new home. I love it.

Alana and Shawn just left after a really nice dinner and visit. I gave them each an advent calendar so they are happy... may they never truly grow up. I am now alone (Elmo the cat is the exception), the view from my window is obscured by a blowing snow veil, the candles are flickering and I am happy.

V, that sounds really lovely!!

No tree yet here. We always trek about 2 miles to one of the local tree farms and cut our own. Hubby is picky about not wanting it to dry out, so we wait until about the 10th of December to go get it.

I'm loving seeing everyone's trees! Great thread!

Hey Palms, I really like how the pink and silver looks on the white tree! You even used silver tinsel! I think your tree has that "Juicy Couture" flavor going on! Cool!

Thanks Lisa, just googled juicy couture and a few images came up on google and i think you described it well. One of them was a little dog with a fur pink jacket on though and that made me laugh... That silver stuff is lametta, i think it is meant to be dead naff but i like it, i think its a bit like gyp in the flower world:rofl:
