These guys are hard at work taking over your city using FTD. Go to www.superpages.com and type in your city and type in All American Florist in the business name. See what comes up. If you are like me, there is listed Granite City Flowers All American Florist. If you map it, they are just down the street from us. They use the same fraudulent address in whatever city/town they are listed under: 4201 Church Rd, yourcity, state.
I don't know how long they have been doing this, but contacted my FTD rep., and SuperPages.com for their ficticious address looking like they are a "REAL FLORIST". Please check this out for your area. My next phone call will be to my Attorney General's office.
 
Send an email to TF, too. They host one of the websites and have them listed as a real florist in findaflorist.com.

Please, please... anyone making complaint about deceptive practices, skimming, etc. - do it in writing and keep copies.

And please file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission. Per discussion on the SAF member board, the FTC doesn't pay much attention to these kinds of complaints because they say they rarely hear them.

We need to do a better job of communicating with the agencies that have the resources to do something since it's abundantly clear the WSs won't.
 
Our State has Moonlightfloralnursury.com address is 2424 Nicollet ave.
It is listed in the Teleflora directory as well. There is no 2424 Nicollet!
And the phone number (big surprise, goes to a 1-800 OG) I called and asked them if I could pick up an arrangement, just for fun. After stammering a bit, they told me that thier store has moved but they don't know where. So darn sick and sad, all I can do is laugh. then cry...then laugh etc..

The ReachLocal listing has 612-486-4288 added on the top. I Google the number but nothing came up.

FTD's site includes the toll free number (866) 441-3315

TF's uses (888) 879-8163

Neither of those show up in a Google search either.

That phone number shows several listings for a flower shop at 2424 Nicollet Ave S, Minneapolis. Are you saying there is no such address in Minneapolis? Yahoo Maps shows it here.
 
The address may be real, but there is no flower shop there.
I know I've lived in the same neighborhood 25 years. My driver laughed when I told him about moonlightfloralnursery. He has been delivering for local shops for over 15 years. Never heard of em...
Why? Because they do not exsist. They are in my dove directory.
I think there is an Asian grocery store at 2424 Nicollet.

Even if you aren't sending or receiving through a WS, these guys are still advertising in our markets - pretending to be real local flower shops.

They affect all of us by scamming consumers and depriving states of sales tax dollars. The have all the 'benefits' of a B&M business with none of the challenges - no inventory, no property taxes, no tempermental designers ;) , no vehicle maintenance issues - none of the expenses we real florists have to contend with daily. They are lying to gain orders - with the help of national companies; the YPs who publish these ads knowing aahflowers isn't a local flower shop and the WSs who pay them commissions and rebates, rewarding the lies.

These scammers negatively impact all florists, not just those in WSs.
 
I agree wholeheartedly! It is hard enough trying to market your business and especially your website without these Asshats directly competing against you and in some cases with your own membership money.

Yes there is a Church st. Also Church Place and other like names. I'm in Minneapolis and being close to St. Paul, there may be a few Church streets.
I've lived here over 25 years and worked at lots of Floral shops from Bachmans to many others, thats partly how I could tell Moonlightfloralnursury was big fat phony. My store is technically in St. Louis Park but its considered Minneapolis.
 
This is something I never noticed on superpages.com until now. You can rate a business on this site, so I thought I would go and give All American Florist a sweet little review. Low and behold...I cannot rate them or apparently any other OG listed like From You Flowers. There is no rating available in either listing. You can rate the real florists though! We have received 4 ratings and reviews. What do you think about this??? Also, I could right click and copy my link, see below, but could not do the same with All American Florist. I did not come up with a street address, but it showed them on a map, but was not able to obtain directions to the location. What gives?

I just received an email from 'Rick' at SuperPages.com and below that was my email to them.
I think I just got "patted" on my head and told, "It's ok hun, we made a tiny little mistake". I haven't had time to go to SuperPages to see if any other town around me have the same little mistake and yes, Rick, that was a little too coincidental!

Thanks for your comments. This listing inadvertently had an address listed which was not supposed to be.
Coincidentally this was in the process of being changed and corrected. You will probably notice this change at
the next publishing of superpages.

wanna just say I called a friend whose city shows the same and informed them of what was going on. Am trying to get them to join here but first they have to get another email other than @yahoo.com.......geez Ryan, this is eliminating so many "small town florists"......there are ways to validate a real florist! Have found the same about the "ratings".....one for Bangor ME had 14 "reviews" for 80066roses...oh give me a break....Tis very sad that superpages can't even see the fraudulent kudos. Do they not check IP addresses ?

The rating system at superpages.com is a great little tool for all of us to use to post reviews on OG's. Can't wait to see if they actually post your review. If you go to Medford NJ and try to write a review there is NO blue link for me to click on to write a review for either All American Florist & From You Flowers. Please check this to verify. I wonder why? I think I will spend some quality time writing reviews for the OG's listed in my area. I'll have friends and family submit reviews too! Fun, fun, fun!!!

I just went and rated All American Florist in Medford, NJ. The only problem is the rater (me) is from Illinois. My rating in Granite City, IL is posted.
