Many thanks for. . . .
Prayers and PM's and Thoughts and offers of help.
Erin yesterday walked the looooong hall 5 times. Doc says they usually have to encourage patients to even get out of bed by the second day.
Her creatinine is down to 1.7 already. . . . .:bouncy: that's me jumping for joy.
Creatinine is what they measure to determine kidney function. After TP it was 3.4, yesterday 3.1 today almost down to a normal 1.0 or lower.
We have decided to get her a furnished apt within walking distance of Cedars. Nice area, plenty for her to do around there. She will need to be in the area 3 months. I have to thank Cathy, Phil and Rosie for their most generous offer of opening her home to my family. It is just a little too far away, at least for the short term.
On a side note: My sister the "investigator" has found the probable donors name and obit (based on circumstances, age, and location). We haven't told Erin yet, but she does want to know. She is going to go through channels to see if she can find out.
BTW. . . . He had just recently decided to be a donor and was proud of the fact, telling his friends and encouraging them to do the same. I am very saddened for their loss of a son who, by all the comments, was loved by many and had a tremendous impact on others. I feel like I knew him by the testimonies they shared. I too, would love to communicate with them.
