I say " Bring it On !!!!" Its all good and its just how people see it that makes a positive or a negative effect. I think its a great idea in our community to bring up different ideas and if some are crazy and some are brilliant then its all good....because we can learn from them...and I for one and all about learning. Lets go spaghetti o:walking:

OK - I'm brave. I went first.

It's artsy, I know, but we've delivered this design before with no problem. The bowl goes along dry, and the swirled rose cluster in a cylinder vase. When the driver arrives, he sets the bowl where it will be displayed, sets the roses in the bowl and pours some water from the cylinder into the bowl. Presto, easy, no problem.

So for those of you who want to say it is undeliverable, I'm here to tell you: NO IT AIN'T!!

Some of you may hate it, some of you may like it, but at least it's creative and different. I know none of you has ever done this before, 'cause I thought it up myself.

Cathy, What a fun idea this contest is!!

And who's next?

Love it. :)

BJ -

You are *'da Man*.

Thank you for such a fabulous, cholesterol-free, fresh, egg-citing design. Egg producers across the world will be downloading that photo. :>

I am not sure why members were allowed to begin voting. We were trying to hold off on those until the upload deadline passed. I'll ask the big cheeses here to have a look.

whoopsie! You can delete mine if you want, I don't know what I was thinking.

BJ very unique can honestley say i have never seen that done how clever and creative.Great stuff!:yourock:

I would like to say something here to all members.I joined FC to learn to become a better designer.I sometimes feel intimidated by other members as there are so many creative designers but I learn from this I need to improve my skills so to be critiqued by my peers is an invaluable lesson. It is never easy to work hard at something and to be told there is a better way to do it or it needs to be more creative...but this helps us become better designers and we are all proffesionals and personally speaking I respect all proffesional florists opinions there is something to be learned from everyone at all levels that is what makes this community so special.I look forward to leaning from this competition I know we all will win as we will all take something from it in learning thru each other.

BJ, now that's a creative design!!

You can go back and change the message on your dots if you forget to sign them.

How can you do that? This is new to me

If I click it again it says you can't give reputation to the same post twice.

Got my roses, accesories and containers today and will be working on 2 different designs. I will enter which ever photographs nicer...

I may be asking for a private which one would you enter showing, Any takers on this???

If I click it again it says you can't give reputation to the same post twice.

If you forgot something or want to change message, go right back immediately and change the wording. It will still tell you that you can't give reputation to the same post twice, but it will change the copy.

If you go back later, it doesn't seem to work.

You could try giving me a green dot, then go back and change the words. I'll tell you what message I get, to test if it works.

Maybe put first time: Test ONE Bloomz
and then change to Test TWO Bloomz
and I'll tell you which one I get.

I tried it on you.

First, I did Test ONE BJ
Then, I changed the ONE to TWO.

Which do you see when you click the icon?
BJ

Wow, I never knew this. Good tip BJ!

I greened you and edited, test1 and test2. BTW, nice dozen roses!

I am wrong.

Wow, I never knew this. Good tip BJ!

Thanks for the test. It proved I WAS WRONG!
I only got the test 1 message. When I went to the icon to see if it was changed there, NOPE it still said test 1.

So even though I can see my message changed with new edit when I click an icon where I've previously dotted, the recipient only sees my first message.

DANG!

Well, I have an announcement to make.

All those anonymous green dots that y'all have received? They were from me. I forgot to put my name and thought I had changed the edit.

Quick question on the contest rules....

Would dry lotus pods be considered an accesory or a focal or form flower....The reason the question is because in my mind they can be used as all of the above...

Thanks for the answer...

It would depend on how the lotus pods are used. Most often, we see lotus pods as an accent or an accessory, but there is no rule that says that a lotus pod can't function in other ways.

This is the way I learned: There are four patterns of plant material - line, mass, filler, and form.
Line pattern - strong stem with florets on one side or all sides of the central stem
Mass pattern - linear stem with 1 bloom/flowers placed on top of the stem....usually round or spherical.
filler pattern - mutliple stems branching off one stem/trunk
form pattern - flowers with a unique shape - serve to catch the eye in the design.

A lotus pod can be a mass pattern, It can also be a form pattern.

So, It all depends on how you use that lotus pod.
