Lori - in short, if you're using the dried pods as accessories, they're fine. If they overwhelm the roses, they're not.

My one bit of advice on using lotus pods is that their dark color can make them difficult to photograph and without good lighting (or a deft hand with PhotoShop) the pods can almost disappear. Try using a light touch of DM Dove Gray on them if your first few photos mostly show dark voids where the pods are supposed to be.

The pods are actually painted beige....so I don't think that they will be a problem in the photo...I am going to have one problem as this is a 3/4 around arrangement, we will have to see once I photo it to see if things need to change...

Go to the gallery:

In the top-right click on Upload Photos (see attachment)

On the next page, click on the Browse button and find your picture. (see attachement)

Enter the name of the design, then click "Upload/Submit"

I *think* Paula is asking how to upload her entry over in the gallery.

Go to the gallery, click 'Upload Photos' on the far right of the 2nd navigation bar and you'll be taken to a new window.

In the field "Choose a category to upload your images to.
Pick a category that relates most to your image(s)" choose "Dozen Ways to Send a Dozen Roses".

Then click "Browse" and find the image on your computer and select it. Add a title, description and keywords in the proper fields and then click "Upload/Submit" when you're done.

That's it! Looking forward to seeing your entry.

I am entered and have noticed a few more. I do hope we get far more than the twelve needed to have the contest not be an all who enters gets a prize....I would like to have a bit of competition going here.

Let's get your designs made and entered folks...This is fun, not super stressful and scary...I am loving the ones already submitted and what a great array of styles and colors....

Members still have another week to upload pictures. From the OP:

Votes may be cast from Monday, September 29 through midnight Eastern Standard Time Tuesday, Sunday October 5.

Late Sunday night Sept. 28, all the slates will be wiped clean and only the votes made during the listed period will be counted.

That way every entry will be able to be viewed by every member prior to any votes being cast.

I am enjoying it too, i have never put my stuff up for critique before and i thought i would take the negative points far more personal. I have two designs which i think are the winner so far!!
