If You Could be Anything Else

I'm a florist because I WAS something else (and got laid off) and decided this is what I want to do, now and in retirement (which I guess is now). :)

I'm really enjoying all the answers. What a great variety of dream jobs we florists have thought of doing. It's fun to think of something else besides running our business occassionally. Thanks for playing everyone!

My first answer was meant to be silly, so, here is my real answer.

I would be a musician (oh wait, I do get to do that)

I would be an artist (again, I get to do that)

Grow beautiful flowers ( do that, too)

Would like to dance well enough to be chosen for "Dancing with the Stars"

Would like to be a certified Master Bridge player (yeah, I have those credentials, too)

The bottom line is: I am living my dream

I think when I grow up I'd like to be...

a vocational teacher
a bar tender
or
a event coordinator

But since I'm not there yet - it's a florist's life for me!!!!

it's LOTS of fun. I still whore myself out to anyone who needs a bar wench when someone calls in sick. Probably one of my favourite jobs. I got to know all the other bartenders and waitresses in town. When we woukd go out, we'd get comp'd food, drinks, the works. It was such a fun job. If it wasn't all nights and weekends, I would still bartend. The money is fantastic.
On a saturday night, I would make $25-$40 an hour!!

I don't know that this is a dream-job, but I've said for years that I could walk right into it and get paid the same big bucks-

Have you guessed? Meteorologist! Heck, I seem to know more about what's coming than they do!

Kidding aside, I just can't think of anything I'd rather be doing. I may complain that I can't get my gardens weeded or my housework done, but I absolutely THRIVE on this stupid business.

I've said that for SO long.
It's the only job I know of where you can be completely and utterly wrong and still get paid.
I'm in the wrong line of work lol

I can see you in any of these endeavors because of your really fun, outgoing personality. You make people around you feel excited and good.
