oh, I got the the "gold" version baby! They could have a platinum version, it's still not more fun to win a actual person and do a victory dance.....

I took the wedding cake and sugar art decoration course and next I would like to try doing the flowers in a new clay medium that is out if I can ever find the time.(I haven't replied to many of these threads so I'm not sure if I attached the picture correctly.)
I also design and print my own business cards and brochures which I really enjoy doing.
One day I would love to take a photography course because I really enjoy it but don't know much about it.

I used to decorate cakes. My signature design was an almost life size guitar carved out of cake. I custom made them and the last one I did (last fall) was one for a Clemson Tigers fan. I did the guitar in white, orange and purple with the Tiger paw on it. I did all custom birthday cakes. I was just starting to get into the gum paste when I decided that the cakes were taking up way too much time. I love the creativity of cake decorating but I don't like the time it takes nor do I like having to make the cake itself and the icing...I just like to decorate!

I also used to play the Celtic harp (sort of)

I love landscaping

I dabbled in acrylic painting and chalks

I was really into puppetry and building my own puppets and sets. I made a 7 1/2 ft tall "mountain" puppet that I named Methusela. The puppeteer would get inside of it to work it. I can make anything out of large stove, washer/dryer, refrigerator boxes.

My big thing is presentation. Whether is flowers, gifts, puppet sets, cakes, decor for parties, etc. I LOVE the art of presentation!!!!:paintplus
 
before i bought this flower shop, i used to love to paint. i'm glad you brought this subject up because it reminds me now that it's slow here, i think i can bring my paints to pass some time. maybe even try to sell them when they're finished.

what i would love to learn how to make are stained glass with beveled work pieces. don't know if i'll ever find the time to do that....

to those of you who mentioned gardening, i love to garden as well. this summer i will have tomatoes and cucumbers coming out my ears. i was wondering though if anyone ever put their garden goods in a fruit/vegetable basket to sell at their store. and if so, what was the response?
 
I love gourmet cooking and eating. I can cook a 12 course meal just for myself when I have the time. I can travel hours just to check out a restaurant. My idea of fun is to taste a new dish and figure out all ingredients in it including spice. Many commented that I should be a food critic, but I just want to do it for fun!! Having this flower shop makes me realize that if I like something so much (flower design), keep it as a hobby, because the pressure of carrying a store is making me (for the 1st time ever) wanting to have a break from my love - flower design.
 
My passion Nr. 1 is learning and practicing Tai Chi....now in my 4th year ...Yang Style Long Form, Qigong also just started learning Yang Style 32-Sword Form and Kung Fu Fan Style ...Tai Chi is for me in many ways also a very helpful tool for floristry...and as you might have seen today in the Olympic Opening ceremony......it does not only make one feel good it also looks very aesthetic.....

I also enjoy photography, crafting, knitting, making cards, ....

Would like to find time to play classic guitar again and learn Chinese brush painting...
