My favourite Recipe. My only Recipe.

Take one bottle Molson Canadian Ice Beer (must be Ice Beer) already chilled from the Fridge.

Place in Freezer section for 10 to 15 minutes to get really cold without freezing

Remove, pop the top.

Enjoy

At Christmas and Thanksgiving look out

There are two times out of the year when I am supposed to know everthing about cooking a Turkey and these two days Thanksgiving and Christmas are the days.

I am supposed to the Savant of the Oven. I just use every type of Thermometer I can get. Even then it is dicey.

This Thanksgiving (Canadian) we cooked one of the boneless Turkeys in a box and I deemed it ready to eat at about 20 minutes to 10:00p.m.

Like I said My only recipe is the beer in the freezer.

With Thanksgiving next week I'm looking for a new fruity salad. We've used the same one for years and it's really good, I just would like something new.

Pink Cloud Salad
1 can cherry pie filling
1 can Eagle brand sweetened condensed milk
1 can pineapple chunks (drained well)
1 8oz Cool Whip
2 cups mini marshmallows

Blend all ingredients gently and refrigerate over night (or at least 4 hours prior). It's great as a side dish or dessert.

Holly try this one, but it makes a lot!

Italian pudding

2 cans mandarin oranges(drain and save juices)
1 can pineapple chunks or tidbits(drain and save juice)
1 jar maraschino cherries(drained)
2 eggs
1/2 sugar
1/2 c flour
1 pkg anicini de pepe
1 cool whip

Combine juices, beaten eggs, sugar, flour, in a saucepan, stir mixture until it comes to a boil, and begins to thicken, into a pudding. Remove pudding from heat and alow to cool completely. Refrigerate the fruit. Cook anicini according to directions, and then rinse with cool water. Cool pudding, and cool whip, and then fold in fruit. Refrigerate for several hours.

Great for a bigger group, or save some for you and take the rest to dinner!

Italian pudding

1 pkg anicini de pepe

Granted, the only reason I keep the kitchen is for resale value. For the amount of time I spend in that room I wanted to take down a wall and make the bathroom larger....husband said NO.
I don't cook very much (most would say none at all), but I've never heard of this anicini de pepe. The recipe sounds wonderful, please tell me what this is and where to find it.

Dear God... I can feel the weight returning just reading these recipes!

Doug... you crack me up... again.

Hot Fudge Cake

One of our favorites....

HOT FUDGE CAKE

1/2 c. butter
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. cocoa
2 eggs
2 c. plain flour
Dash of salt
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. soda, dissolved in 1 tbsp. water
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. boiling water

Cream butter and sugar. Add cocoa and eggs, then flour and remaining ingredients in order given. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

SAUCE:

1 sm. pkg. chocolate chips
1 box powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 stick butter
1 lg. can Carnation milk

Melt chocolate chips and butter in double boiler over hot water. Add sugar and milk alternately, stirring constantly. Add vanilla. Cook 4 or 5 minutes until thick. Slice cake in squares; split in half. Fill with square of vanilla ice cream; top with hot sauce. Add whipped cream and a cherry and go for it!

Holly, anicini de pepe is the pasta they use in wedding soup. The little tiny grains of pasta in the spaghetti aisle. LOL I had to find out myself when I first started to make this. PS, I'm not a cook either, I just "arrange" well!

The best sweet potato cassorole:

Sweet potatoes
1 can mandarine oranges
1 can pineapple bits
marshmellows to top

mix sweet potatoes, oranges and pineapple then top with marshmellows and bake.

Oh yeah, slow cooked, hot and spicey!!!!

So many directions in which to go... and I have to leave for work! For sure Doug, there is no :spam: on you. ;)

Again, like an egg (see you really can cook) you crack me up and I thank you for the visual of the day.

Enjoy!
