Some female bloggers were writing about how appalled they were that everyone's making such a big deal over the fact that someone not in the young/cute mold can sing.
I get their points, but at the same time we're kinda used to our female performers making sexiness more than half the show. Talent is often secondary or sometimes even optional.
Having said all that this lady srsly did need at least somewhat of a makeover and I'm glad she got it. Oh yeah and she can sing
