Sales suck today(Wed.)!

So much for last minute shoppers??

I don't see it happening at all today!:wallhead:

Its going to be a long December!!!!:alcoholic

A very long december indeed.....I am beginning to feel that sick feeling of anxiety in my gut....I hate that feeling it is unnerving...

Today looks to be better for us. We're averaging 30% down the last two days... today will hopefully be only 15% down, if the phones keep ringing. We are open tomorrow, as we have been for 25 years, so most of our customers know that and may still call!!

We're running 9 deliveries ahead of last year...not a barn burner, but I'll take it...

Christmas will be OK... you still have time to adjust and plan....get to it Friday!

No more Thanksgiving, but plants and flowers are flying out the doors.
getwells, anniversarys, birthdays, thank yous and gift items. (Thank You Jesus)

It's really been a weird one. But since my shop phones fwd. to my celll, we will no doubt get calls tomorrow...huh, to fill or not...yeah prob. cause no family shindig planned for tomorrow.

My last two deliverys today are about 45 miles away so may close a bit early to do those.

Hubby just brought me a Subway on goody food, almost forgot what it was.

Happy and Better Holidays To All!!

Deliveries were dead even with last year's - walk in was down just a bit. With the gloom & doom news, I'm content with breaking even, for now.

We're open tomorrow, with a colorful cooler of arr's .... hoping to grab some last minute louies for those.

Darrell is right on about the holiday week spike - historically the friday, saturday & sunday are dead days at our shop. We're headed out of town, and our helpers will work on getting the rest of Christmas ready for what we're hoping will be a busy december.

Peace out - happy thanksgiving to everyone :)

We didn't preorder any product - just ordered it as needed and was pleased with the prices - comparable to last years prebook prices.

Here's our surprise - sales were almost dead even with last year. Actually, more items were sold than last year but at a lower price point per item. Customers were definately looking for a $25-30 centerpiece instead of our usual "average" of $40.

Web orders were off but more customers commented that they were looking at the site as they were speaking to us on the phone. Handy little sales tool, that web site. :thumbsup

I have so much to be thankful for tomorrow (and everyday!). Happy Thanksgiving to all!
