Too funny, letter from FTD..

I received a letter from FTD today accepting my termination. In the body of the letter is the usual stuff about ceasing and desisting the use of all FTD logos etc. The really funny part:scatter was the sentence that told me that I was required to "RETURN" the selection guide to FTD....

After I picked myself up of the floor where I was rolling in hysterical laughter and the startled customers wanted to know if they should call 911, I re-read the letter to see if I had read it right and sure enough "you are required to return the selection guide"

Yeah right!! As soon as FTD sends me a big fat $300 check for the **** thing....

I wonder why we didn't have to return our selection guide. I don't get it. We waited the three (actually more like four) months to get our measily $98.00 check we had coming to us the last month we were with FTD. They would not have sent us the check if we were supposed to return the selection guide.

Maybe it's a new rule. Only thing I can figure???

I'm dumbfounded at such a rule though, they're quite arrogant aren't they?
 
Mail it back to them one page at a time until you get your final separation and any monies owed to you.
 
It's Because they see the Value of the guide.
I bet it will take you a long time to get everything all squared away.

If that's the only reason...then my work here is done. ;) Thanks for the compliment Nadrah...I learned from the best...my Dad paid a speeding ticket in Ohio (speed trap years ago) in pennies, Canadian, in cement. He had the means and the opportunity.
 
Update on FTD. I just spoke with member services and it seems that they dropped me like a rock. I guess they were not happy with my posts on the message board. I told member services that if they think they are getting any more money out of me for dues etc. they could guess again. If they have cut me off from sending and receiving as well as access to the message board, they sure as heck are not going to get any more money out of me.

Now I'm REALLY ticked about these stupid waterford ornaments. Since I apparently can't receive FTD orders I'm just stuck with the stupid things....

oh we are surviving. Barbee finally got her IV line taken out. She has been hooked up to that thing since she got home on TG. I'm winding down on this cold I think. It has moved into my chest which is'nt good but I do feel better today..

Waterford is a DAWG around here and nationwide too from what I can see. TF is outselling them for me by probably 35 to 1.

Yep, Dishware or a Foil Wrapped Chocolate looking ornament. Guess people want dishware.

I had hopes for it, but very glad I didn't buy any.
 
Well FTD may come and go...as will all the crap that flies around...you and Barbee are the important factors in the mix...take care of you. :)

Hehe, it's not the only reason Quetzal, just one of the more vibrant ones. ;)

I know someone that had Revenue Canada make a judgment, they had to pay a few thousand to the government. And they did - in unrolled loonies. The guy and RevCan was not amused but he couldn't refuse it - legal currency and all.

It's about par here, we got the FTD C1, C2, C3, C4 - we're almost sold out of C3 (who knew?) and we're 1/2 sold of C2. We've only sold three or four C1s.

With TF, we got the Chapel, the Holly Bowl and the Reindeer. We're almost sold out of the Chapel, we're 1/2 sold of the Holly Bowl but have only sold one Reindeer.

So much for the "has hurricane, will sell" train of thought.

we are not moving the reindeer hurricane either. I'm surprised actually, it looks great made up in the cooler. But so far we have only sold one. The other one that surprises me is the TF sleigh. But I think that one will move out as the last minute people want something cheap.

I actually put one of the FTD waterford ornaments on the counter yesterday for $1.99 to see what would happen. One customer picked it up and looked at it, then set it down and asked if we were going to have an after Christmas clearance sale!

They bought the TF ornament bowl instead. No flowers just the container.....
 
We're sold out of the TF Sleigh as of Tuesday, and already had to double our order on the Chapels. The new shipment arrived Monday and will be sold out today.

The Holly Bowl is moving slower than I thought, but it should pick up now that the other two are gone. Leading sellers this year are again a few of our in-house specials.

I had one designer grumping about "having to make TF arrangements" - since in her mind anything from a WS is tacky. I showed her the FTD ornament and she shut up and happily went back to doing Kinkades :)

Funny tho.... while I do NOT like the Waterford ornament, I'm half way thru my third case. I wonder if regional differences have anything to do with it ??

I had the TF items on my site for a while (I know I know) and had no requests for them...and while all 3 of the FTD "specials" are selling outa the cooler, not many requests from other avenues.

Also, we don't necessarily follow the picture, our customers EXPECT our STYLE and not the "cookie cutter" stuff my drivers can do...:eek:
 
Over here up North, we hae one chapel left to go, 2 sleigh, 6 ornaments and about 10 holly bowl and hurricane. i AM also surprise that the holly bowl havent move so fast and the hurricane, but I am sure they will be gone by the 24th.
As for the FTD product, still have 12 Waterford ornament, ordered 12, 3C2, and 5 C3 left. Also all of the C4 I ordered are still here.
I think the price point on the C4 is the killer here for the size given.
