Boss , Jim asked the question about tossing .com orders , which I toss just on principle alone, as they have been told repeated , not filling, to put us on the ignore list , to do otherwise is at your peril, but to the problem Jim has FTD can't have it both ways , either he is in or he is out , but they should make up their little minds.

What real florists? Those are orders stolen from Real Florists, it would only harm dotcon and gee now that would be a shame...

What about all the orders you, I and the others here send JB ?

I gotta believe, that not every order that flows outa Jim's merc is from Da Dot, maybe the greater proportion, but in that case, usually a ASK (P) MO$$ takes care of it....

I am not trying to defend Dot.CON in any way, nor am I trying to get Jim to do anything, only saying that like FTD, Jim must decide if'n he's in or out, and pull'n that plug is the surest way of stopping thier flow... NO WHERE does it say, you have to have technology, make 'em use the tele, and then ya can sort it out right then and there.

I agree

Can;t have it both ways. And they should decide which way they want it...

Yep, which is why Victoria and I said pitch them. They (FTD) told him (Jim) that he can't fill FTD orders. .com orders are FTD order so....

I'd let them know I was tossing them first, it's their mess - why should he have to clean up after them?

Like Boss said Un-Plug the thing!!
Of course if you want their spam and ask messages, you can just suspend the merc and you won't get any more orders but you will get all the latest junk mail.

Ok, here's a question for you all. So, does that mean that when I get FTD.com orders over the Merc that I should just throw them in the trash? After all FTD is the one that told me to stop using their services and yet they continue to send me orders....

That was the question I was answering, and if he is talking about dotcn orders, that's who it will hurt, he didn't say anything about OUR orders, and I know he can still get them (wink).

I sent a message to customer service, to Bob and to the guy in membership that called me to try to get me to stay. No response from anyone. Not that I expected a response.
This morning I came into the shop to another .con order for a dozen long stem mixed roses in a vase with fern, plumosa and caspia. Funny part is the order was a timed order to be delivered no later than 12 noon and do not call first, do not porch. If no one is home leave a tag and redeliver when they call. All of this for a grand total of $59....

I did give them the courtesy of a reject...

I wouldn't throw away the orders. The paper trail is sufficent proof for them to know the order was transmitted to you and you were the source of the problem for them. I"m sure they will claim the value of these orders on your account at face value. That 100% guarentee and all.

Before you signed the papers reguarding your leaving. You should have read the contract you signed up under. Considering the place has changed hands several times. It is questionable wether they ever issued new contractural obligations for you to sign when they took over.(multiple ones at that).

They may be in the position of honoring any SIGNED paperwork in your position. Any company is bound, legally, to honor signed contracts. To alter them, would require them to have all the members re-sign new contracts. Allowing you to opt-out of the organization. They may have had "policy" changes. But policy isn't the same as a contract and it's binding obligations.

Depending on your wilingness or ability to seek legal advise. Make sure you have all your paperwork ready.

On the surface, one would think that if you have an obligation to remain a dues and fees paying member untill you can be removed from the directory. Them you should be capable of recieving all your rights as a paying member. One might be able to make the claim for dammages as a result of their denying you member paid services and access.

I really don't think, they can legally force you to fill their orders while denying you access to send orders over the system the will fully expect you to pay for. As well as use of the service you signed up for and are expected to pay till term for.

Pulling the plug is the easy way to solve the problem.

It's a form of legal hassel. All cases of complaint that I have heard about were solved right away. Once a decent lawyer got involved.

If money isn't an issue. Then principle is a great reason.

If not, then it becomes a question of break-even or a cut of what they owe you.

Them, is the wire service who sent you the order.

It looks like someone thinks the membership is still in force. And is able to transmit the order. Over isn't over till the fat man sends the final statement.
