You know what Bloomz.....it may be dribble to you what I post on here in FC but at least I don't aim to insult, exclude, provoke ill emotion or hurt people with what I write. What was posted in CHAT were called thread games. It's to get people involved and contributing on a very different level. As V said it gives one a different view on those in here. I'm sorry I'm not posting enough crass or insulting things to get people to contribute. I'm done with this pity party, whining "I've got a brain and you can't get near it" attitude from you.

Don't have time to

............................said I will shout b/c I hate this...
MAKE YOUR TITLE A REAL TITLE. I NEED TO KNOW W*%&@* THE THREAD IS ABOUT BY THE F*IN TITLE.

...i want to double down on this suggestion.
Absofreekinlutley!

Boy is this getting fun or what?

mcf, I totally agree....if Bloomz has a problem with me he should tell me in a pm and stop hinting around on threads/posts like he does. I call him out once, finally ....hang me.

WOW, what a thread. I have not been on all day...

Thom, sorry mate but its not all about you. When i was new i was asked questions and i was so pleased that people wanted to know about my business. I also never seen it as clubby, believe me there are forums out there that are clubby and i certainly dont see this as one. I personally am beginning to see you as someone with a chip on his shoulder, you even joined in once to a new member to tell them that it was clicky or something similar but you would like to talk to them... like you were some kind of hero. Seriously dude, you need to get over it. Give me the groans if you like... as my 7 year old says "bring it on".

Bloomz, i have got to say i kinda sigh a little bit with all the chat stuff, i think what is needed here is a little bit of moderation in everything maybe. I do enjoy some of the chat stuff, but more about peoples real life, you know stuff that makes a difference. Aileen, i think what it is is that if quite a few threads have been started in the same couple of days by the same couple of threads it can take a whole page up. Honestly dont take it personally, i like you. And maybe the odd game is nice but i dont know, maybe one at a time and a space between them all?? Just a suggestion but its not up to me and i dont presume that.

But seeing as late a lot of my threads have been asking for help i cant really complain too much. I have received tons of help from people and i am sooo grateful. I am going to make it my business to find something floral related to tell you all about rather than ask for help...

I think its probably a case of swings n roundabouts (hope my sayings are not all english only).

Right waffle over:cool:

I'm new to this flowerchat deal but I do believe that the headliner in this forum reads

"Chat Whatever stuff you want to talk about."

And people are doing just that- talking about whatever stuff they want to talk about. If you don't want to read peoples chit chat then don't (try searching the forums) but leave the people who do want to chat be. Just a thought...

For the chatters, I'm its nice to get some relief off their back talking about something else, I know how it is to work and have no friends because you're working all the time! And I'm only 21. I'm sure most go home and take care of families or husbands.

Have a good day! :0)

Palms never gave a groan in my life, not about to, I find it rather childish and undemocratic. I try to apologize for my actions only once.

...and that you did with grace. You are forgiven.

So now I'm accused of not having a sense of humor. Like I would never post a joke or anything like that.

Right.

Whatever.....

Sorry I guess I just get tired of some monopolizing the conversation....guess I'm the only one.

Not.

I need coffee. And maybe a Raspberry Danish stuffed up my ass.

Morning all
Well Honey if that makes you happy, what's holding you back?

I don't think there is anything wrong with some useless random babble threads, but anything in excess, especially from the same poster, becomes irritating and annoying to the rest of a forum population that aren't interested.

It's part of the unwritten rules of internet etiquette.

Posting every random thought that comes to mind in a professional business forum is not proper forum etiquette, that's what myspace and the like are for.

No jokes, this same issue has come up in every single message board forum that I've ever been a member or lurked in. I've come to the realization that it comes with the territory and I'm willing to deal with it in trade for all the useful info I get out of them.

What I have seen work in other forums are what I call "chat threads". It's a thread where a group of people (friends) can spam a way all they want. This way it only occupies one spot in the "new posts" section. Another option is to create a discussion group, where people can just shoot the crap in.

I do admit I get annoyed and irritated sometimes, but nothing that I can't deal with. Just my two cents.

Carry on....

Really, what about attention seeking?? Childish?? Doing something then realising that everyone is not patting your back and then apologising for it? Over and out, groan dont groan not interested.

Isn't that what this whole Chat Forum is? Which is why it doesn't bug me to glance over it if I'm busy...

Done

Yes you are correct, that's why it's tough for me to argue the issue. I do admit I like the chat forum and would hate to have to set it to ignore. I have found that when a certain group of posters just like to talk about random things, having a chat thread really works. It's a place they can go just to talk and at the same time doesn't occupy all the new post slots with a bunch of random threads.

Again, no biggie, I can take it either way, I'm just admitting I do get annoyed once in awhile.

yeah bring back the Pepto Bismol dancers!
Heather is such a meanyhead, don't listen to her :>
