No, IRS says or did say a while back 50cts per mile.

60 mile round trip equals $30.00

Delivery driver time $10 per hour (total cost) assume a pay scale of $7.50.

1.5 hours time equals $15.00

Total delivery cost $45.00

MY BAD...I like your breakdown better ;)

And this is our dilemma............

How do we make our delivery services profitable while maintaining our services as a good value to the consuming public?
On many occasions, when a customer has complained/inquired about our delivery charges I have taken the opportunity to fully explain the costs associated with delivery, including packaging, fuel, vehicle cost, insurance, drivers pay, tires, etc...

Generally they seem to *finally* grasp the expense suffered by the business...and when you throw in the "for $8.50 we WILL get it there TODAY, and for $22.50 Fed/Up *might* get it there tomorrow" they tend to really pay attention...

That's very good - have to remember that one.
